I had 3 or 4 different therapists in a 6 month time frame while I was there. Everyone kept quitting. It is a stressful time for everyone and it is hard for me to determine a reasoning, but staff fleeing an employer is never a good sign.
I want the people trying to help me with my mental health and well-being to be working in a positive work environment where they feel appreciated, that their work is purposeful, and they are compensated respectfully.
As a patient, I do not want to be bounced around before evening having the ability to get to know my therapist. I also feel as if the psychologist was a little too willing to prescribe medication, when there was no way to know if it were necessary because I had not had any stable, reliable connection with any therapist.
They left me feeling more hopeless and less likely to ever seek professional help to maintain mental health help.

I had a good connection with my counselor but unfortunately due to schedule changes there just isn't a time that I can be seen by her without taking time off of work. After several missed appointments because of this I asked about alternative options, even seeing a different counselor if needed. I was told by the secretary that the case managers would just put me on a wait list because I have "commercial insurance." No mental health patient should be told the inner workings of how a facility categorizes the importance of their clients. I'm sure you can understand that I'm pretty hurt to be told that I am less important to them because I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and I pay for my copay out of pocket. I will not be returning.

I just wanted to leave my review about my experience with the counseling center wooster office. Katelyn Stenger was my doctor and treated me like a number i felt like she DID NOT CARE ABOUT ME! I have been going to the counseling center for the last 12 years I left that place in July 2025 and over the years my doctor had me on over 10 different medications for my bipolar I was way over medicated! I found a new doctor in Fairlawn ohio and she could not believe the cocktail of medications that I was prescribed to me. My new doctor really cares about my mental health and I'm only on 3 new medications now and doing very well. I just felt like the doctor at the counseling center did not care about me at all she just kept adding new medictions all time and I just got tired of her poor unprofessional ways. I don't advise anyone to seek help at the wayne and Holmes County counseling center the doctors just want to over medicate their clients!!!

They are nice people, but it seems they are clueless. Ive been going here for 2+ years and all they have done is put me on several ssri meds(most have effected me very negatively). It seems every other visit they want to switch it again because its not working. Im convinced they don't listen to a word I say about my condition. Ive told them I shake from anxiety and have panic attacks and they've given me blood pressure pills for it. Ive told them I have adhd and they put another ssri med in the mix, it had me so jittery and my pupils dilated I had to stop it almost as soon as it started. I would honestly not recommend this place ive been to 3 practitioners here so far and they are all the same.

Dr. Zarco is a therapist here! I highly don’t recommended her! I feel like she doesn’t care about kids feelings at all, or what kids are going through! she’s one that likes to play
around with medications with your children. And her mannerisms with children are defiantly off! This review will probably be deleted by them. but thought i give other people a WARNING!
