Wayne’s labor and delivery unit was the most pleasant birthing experience, wonderful nurses, always there to answer your questions, clean environment, and Dr.karr was an amazing doctor during my whole pregnancy.

Went into Wayne Hospital for a So-called anxiety, panic attack after being there for Being in the hospital or ER for about four hours, the nurse gave me some Valium blood pressure and heart rate keep in mind. The doctor ordered or prescribed it for it for me to take it then after 30 to 40 minutes doctor comes in asks if I’m feeling all right I’ll say yes he said you look like you’re On something I took something what do you mean you just gave me medicine of course I’m on something. The nurses were amazing except the one doctor.

My care during pregnancy was mostly fine, I wasn’t high risk so I didn’t mind getting in and out everyday. However, for labor I think next baby I’d rather chance giving birth on the side of the highway trying to get to Miami Valley than ever going back to Wayne. I only had one nice nurse who actually cared about me. Shout out Chelly, she’s my angel. The nurse when we got there rolled her eyes about me even showing up. Claiming it was going to be a long night even though we showed up at almost midnight and I had my baby at 4pm. My plan was to deliver naturally, but after asking for the portable monitor and a yoga ball probably five times, I had to give into the epidural cause I couldn’t stand being left in bed any longer. If you plan on going natural do not come here, there will be no help from the staff. I was left at 10 centimeters for hours waiting on the doctor to show up. At some point I was told he just wasn’t coming, and they might have to call the ER doctor to come deliver me. Once the OB finally decided he had time for me, he delivered me and I tore, and he left a gap in my stitches. Which I brought up with my primary OB at my postpartum appointment, and he told me it couldn’t be fixed, which is a lie, but he was more concerned with bullying me into birth control, which I repeatedly said I didn’t want. My baby ended up needing deep suctioned after delivery. I asked nurses to tell me what was happening since they took him to the nursery, and every time they wouldn’t tell me anything. Turns me out they poked him 11 times for an IV, even though Children’s was coming to get him, and could do one. Let’s be honest Wayne OB can’t put an IV in an adult let alone put one in my babies head. One nurse was told by another nurse they should probably stop and she refused and said she was going to keep poking him in his head. I understand he needed an IV, but to poke him 11 times, four of them being in his head, when children’s was coming is ridiculous. And I didn’t have any idea they were doing it till after he left. I had to stay at Wayne and the next day when I was getting ready to leave, the nurse Mary was going to wheel me out for my nurse, and she rudely walked in with an attitude and asked where my baby was at while looking at me like I was an idiot. I told her he left for Children’s which she should’ve known cause she’s the one who poked up 11 times! Thank God my baby was just transferred, what if he died and she asked me that in that manner. If your baby needs support after birth, just pray to God to help them if you’re not already, cause the nurses certainly won’t to any good. In the end, my baby is fine and I went to a doctor at Miami Valley who said he would fix my tear, cause it is possible. Would definitely recommend them. And to anyone going to Wayne, I will pray for a safe delivery, because if there’s any complications, they have no idea what they’re doing. They’ll leave you traumatized and not sure if you want another baby.

I was not expected to stay overnight in the hospital after a total knee replacement, but I am thankful that the staff and the care I received was well above average and better than any care I've had at other hospitals. I had the best nurses I could ever ask for. The physical therapist I had was wonderful. I appreciate everyone who was involved in my care from the surgery and the hospital stay. I especially want to say thank you to the ladies in the surgery area who took such care and ease with me before my surgery. Ladies you were truly remarkable.
