- YMYaakov MayerhoffAug 8, 20225.0I've found that if you're planning to get LASIK at a major company (LasikPlus, TLC, etc) you should go with whatever place makes you feel most comfortable, and for me that was LASIK Vision Institute. From the beginning, every person I interacted with was helpful and encouraging. As for the procedure itself, it truly was painless and I had improved vision within hours and near-perfect by the next day. It took my eyes longer than expected to fully fully fully heal, but I was able to come in for free post-op visits to make sure I was progressing, and I am now at 20/20 and completely healed. There is some sticker shock, but LASIK is pricey no matter where you go. And just FYI you can smell the laser, which is kinda weird, but I assume that's also true at any facility. Anyway, LASIK is great and LVI is great so go get it

The procedure takes about 10 minutes and I felt zero pain. The very next day I had 20/10 vision! How incredible is that!
