We were visiting in the area from out of state. Husband's hearing aids needed adjustment. Foster HC worked with us, making adjustments & sent us out with a better suited wire length to try without charge! If it was a satisfactory fit, then we could pay the $150 cost. Wonderful & remarkable service especially for out-of-towers! We highly recommend them.

I gave a five because my experience was so pleasant and the Dr. was so nice and the receptionist was also. I suggest if someone needs a hearing test that they try them. It was a nice experience given i was so nervous

Frequently Asked Questions About Foster Hearing Center

What are the most common hearing impairments?

There are two basic types: A “conductive” loss occurs when abnormal conditions, such as immobilizing these tiny bones, create a loss of sound sensitivity of the outer and /or middle ear. A “sensorineural: loss occurs when there is a loss of sound sensitivity to the brain produced by abnormal conditions of the inner ear or nerve pathways. A combination conductive/sensorineural loss is called a “mixed” loss.

What can cause hearing loss?

Wax buildup in the ear canal, punctured eardrum membranes, or ear infections can produce a conductive loss. Constant exposure to loud noises, the aging process (called presbycusis), virus infections, head injuries, birth or hereditary defects, and even certain medications can produce a sensorineural loss.
