- TKTracy KlinglerFeb 14, 20245.0If i could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had my first visit with Planned Parenthood on Cleveland Avenue in Canton, OH. I went in to have my Mirena IUD removed and to have a new one placed. I was so nervous going in. I read the reviews below and was nervous that I would not have a good experience. I also heard how the procedure itself is painful & it had been 7 years since my first insertion so I couldn't remember how i felt during that time. I unfortunately do not remember the medical assistant's name who took me back (I think it was Deonna?) but she was wonderful. She knew I was nervous and spoke very calmly and kindly to me and reassured me that everything was going to go smooth and that the nurse who would be handling my procedure is very professional and does a great job. She was totally right. Taylor came in and was a ray of sunshine. Not only did she calm my nerves but she talked me through everything and she allowed me to watch my phone to take my mind off of things. It was uncomfortable but she continuously made sure I was doing okay and reminded me to take deep breaths in and out. Also the atmosphere was comfortable. They had ocean wave sounds playing in the room and it wasn't too hot or too cold in the room. I felt so comfortable all in all and I will be returning in the future. my advice, don't let the bad reviews scare you!

All the people here were so nice and caring and funny too. They talked to me so nicely and with respect and they explained everything to me step by step. They made sure I understand everything and answered any questions I had. And they were so gentle with me during my exam. I was surprised by how fast they took me back to be seen. My appointment was at 2:30 PM I got there at 1:00 PM bc I took the bus and they took me back 15 minutes after arriving. And I didn't even have to wait in the back to be seen I was seen right away. I will be keeping this place as my doctor to be seen from now on for any test that I need to have done for future pap tests. I will never go anywhere else 😁.
