I always come here for my depo shot and usually experience great customer service but there was one time in particular that I was thrown completely off. One of the nurses mentioned something about a Pap smear, don’t judge, but I asked her what’s a pap smear and she replied “that’s a question for mom” her insensitive comment rubbed me the wrong way because I feel like based off of me not knowing what it was to begin with kinda shows that I don’t have a mother figure in my life that taught me about that kind of stuff. For her to be a nurse, that im sure knew exactly what a Pap smear is, I just didn’t see what was so hard about just telling me what it was. It would be nice for the company to remind their employees to watch what they say because they really don’t know the person they’re talking to.

This Planned Parenthood was my first step in finding out I have thyroid cancer when I was completely unaware I even had thyroid issues at all - just wanted to send a thank you for starting the journey to better health with me 💙

Planned Parenthood provides great services for low costs. I have gone a couple times for birth control prescriptions. The staff at this location is always quite nice and professional (not judgmental at all), and the NP I saw both times really did care about my health. Education is spot on here too; lots of informational hand outs available.
Wait times can be a bit long (but not always), but visits don’t seem super rushed like at other doctors offices. They take the time to explain and allow you to ask questions. Great location, will be returning when needed in the future.

Staff is always patient and thorough. I began going to PP Akron when I switched jobs and did not have health insurance. I am so lucky that they were available. I continue to use PPA for my healthcare, even now when I have insurance.
