- ATAnonymous TruthtellerSep 7, 20251.0I had the unfortunate experience of being at Monte Nido. Do not do it. There was only one RC who really cared and treated me and the other patients like actual humans and understood what we were going through. The manager came out multiple times and kissed me on the cheek which was extremely uncomfortable, not to mention it happened multiple times. None of these instances had any consent or permission. This place is extremely toxic and even the therapists have a habit of belittling us. During my time there one of the therapist left who was someone I think actually cared. The other therapists did not help. The nurses and one RC who the manager bragged about getting fired were the only ones who cared. Please be aware of these issues, and if you have other treatment options, pursue those instead.
- AHAmber HasselmanNov 14, 20245.0If I had a loved one seeking residential treatment, I would refer them here. I can’t speak highly enough about how wonderful the staff were. The property is beautiful, it creates a homey environment for one to be able to focus on recovery and feel less like a patient in a hospital. The food is prepared by an on-site chef for the majority of the meals and snacks. I liked their treatment model much more than some others and I don’t know if I would have been able to make the progress I did had it not been for doing it here. Literally everyone, from the program and clinical directors, therapists, and dietitian, to the nurses, RC’s, and even the chef encouraged me along in my recovery every single day. If any of the staff end up reading this review, thank you for everything, I’m forever grateful 💜

- BSBuffalo Rochester SyracuseNov 9, 20241.0I see montenido continuously hiring in canandigua, it is a shame that one bad apple allowed bullying others and ultimately, hurt the whole quality of business ongoing. It is shame for whole community to have a nurse in leadership with such a poor ethics in practice. Hopefully it works in outcome for nurse Theresa and Montenido. That nurse dislike me as I said I liked overnight nurse and did not open up to her. The next day I was told my insurance was denied to stay there. Who knows what actually took place .....too many people leaving among staff, many patients unhappy about the whole admission process and she probably does not even give herself report on actions taken without consciousness on unethical practice. It would have been a nice place for treatment to be received and I am glad I left, it is unhealthy environment that does not support recovery. I made a good decision to go to downstate facility instead of canandigua one being 30 min away from my place.
