I called my family dentist at Riverdale Oral Health office, and got an appointment that afternoon.To my surprise, I had an ulcer on my torus, which is a bony projection from the hard palate. It must have been there for 2-3 week, and had not healed with Orabase and avoiding crusty foods. I was given a prescription for a steroid gel to apply 6 times a day. I was to call in two days and report how It felt. I thought it was better, but by the next week it was still painful ,so was told to return to be examined. Dr Adler did not like the healing progress, so referred me to an oral surgeon for a possible biopsy.The oral surgeon examined me and decided the lesion was likely a traumatic injury which heals slowly. My life just got a little better, no cancer in my mouth. The care I received at the Riverdale Oral Health office was caring, prompt and wise.

As a medical provider myself, I am not easily impressed by other healthcare professionals but she restored my faith in dentistry, especially with respect to the complex nature of my successful dental implant.
