I was really disappointed to learn that this studio pays its yoga teachers only around $22 per hour — that’s not a living wage in NYC, especially given the cost of living and the professionalism expected in this field. When I attended classes here, I also found the staff to be unprofessional and the overall experience didn’t reflect the values that yoga is supposed to stand for. I truly hope the management reconsiders how they treat and compensate their instructors. Until then, I won’t be returning or recommending this place.

The class I attended should come with a warning label that reads "DO not attend if you are older than 25 and have feelings." I am a fitness instructor for over 20 years and was excited to try a new format on my birthday. There was poor cueing, insulting language used when I needed a break, and who puts burpees into a workout in a 95 degree room? Dangerous methodology and uninviting workout space. Please help women of all ages feel supported through suggested modifications (i.e. "if you are scared to fall from a sweat-slippery mat and jumping jacks at the end of workout are daunting, try alternating step outs to meet your needs." So much potential, so much disappointment.

My husband and I arrived 4 minutes late to the 7/7 4:30 pm class and were told we couldn’t join because it had already started, which we completely understand and take responsibility for as we were the ones that were late. However, we were surprised to see that another person who had walked in with us was allowed to join the class. The instructor mentioned that she was checked in, but there was no one at the front to check anyone in and we had all entered together. It was definitely not fair treatment. We ended up fixing the situation at Nomad and had a much better experience there.

CSX - (Full Body) - NYC I took Rachel's class today at 12:15pm for the CorePower Strength X , and it was amazing. She really made us work all our muscles and even though it was super challenging, her energy made it really fun to workout. She had great music selection and she really coached us on our posture and form to make sure we are hitting the right muscle and not injuring ourselves. Highly recommend her!

The classes are good, but the space is quite small and gets crowded very quickly. And there are two big columns in the middle of the room that end up occluding your view of the instructor if you end up on the sides
