  UHPP's gender-affirming care is absolutely terrible and they honestly have no business being in the field. It started okay, but then they switched me from oral to patches (against my wishes), while also ignoring my primary doctor's approval of my taking oral estradiol. The blood test came back and confirms it: my E is plummeting due to the change and my depression (dysphoria) is back in full swing. The reason? She said it was because they are being "more conservative" with my health care. Poor choice of words!

  Do not go to this place for transgender care. I went in with existing prescriptions and she not only didn't put all of the medications we talked about in the system, the dosages were wildly incorrect for the two that ended up actually being put in. To make all of this even more frustrating the two women working the desk were rude, and the practitioner was over an hour late for my scheduled appointment. This is going to put me at risk due to gross disregard for my healthcare needs and I will absolutely never be going back to this place. This is absolutely going to be reported to the new York state board of health

  Some of the staff were nice but the way my visit was handled was honestly dangerous. I waited for over 2 hours to see a provider and nobody ever took my vitals or asked me the appropriate questions for birth control yet wrote down answers and vitals as if they had asked/taken them. The only reason I figured this out was when the provider did finally see me she listed off medical information that I never disclosed and told me about my vitals that nobody took. They literally just wrote down random numbers and information on my chart. This is a major problem and could have caused both health problems and/or ineffective outcomes from the birth control. It’s okay if there’s an emergency or you’re running behind but that doesn’t mean you should ever make up medical information about patients.
