  This is a scam. I went to my appointment and once I got there (it was noted no where prior) I was required to agree to a virtual exam. I was extremely confused on why I needed a virtual exam when I was in the office. The person explained that a tech sets everything up and then the doctor calls in on a zoom call. How does that make any sense?!? I am not driving to your office to have a doctor call in when I'm paying for an in person visit! Also, be very careful what you agree to on their forms. They require you fill out a complete medical history of things that don't relate to an eye exam, including questions about your mental health. One of the forms then requests permission for them to share your data with anyone they want from that point forward. Simply put, waiving all of your HIPPA rights.

  Last visit was Feb of 2024. Had a virtual exam. I spent almost a year with the wrong prescription glasses. Finally went to the Eye Care Center in Canandaigua. Got a exam by a doctor in person. Although they would not bad mouth Sterling Optical ? They stated these the current glasses are not correct ? After a proper eye exam I'm seeing much better. Thank you Eye Care Center.

  It has been 5 months since my original exam. I have lost track of how many times they have made me come back in. I still do not have a glasses or contacts prescription. The first exams were done virtually, and incorrectly. It wasn't until I had an exam with the owner that he realized the virtual doctors had the wrong prescription for me. No wonder none of the trial contacts worked. Now that I have an updated prescription, they have been incredibly slow to get me new trials and ordered the wrong brands. They have now stopped returning my calls or answering my emails. They will not provide me my new prescription, so I can't order new glasses or contacts. I have wasted my insurance benefits on their services and I now have to pay out of pocket to get another exam elsewhere. My husband also had a bad experience, where they had the wrong prescription for him as well.

  This location is staffed by wonderful people. I am always treated with respect and kindness. I also have fun with them! They take as much time as you need to try on frames etc. the exam process is easy too.

  Great place. Took my son in today when insurance was denied us at our other eye glass place. They made room for an appointment for him that today, actually within 30 minutes of us walking in the door he had his appointment. The Dr. who looked at his eyes was great! Very friendly and funny. Took time to not just do the exam, but find out some information about my son. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.
