  Our family had an incredibly positive experience with Home Instead in Auburn and would recommend them to others looking for assistance for their elderly loved ones. We used their services for 2 years, which allowed our parents to remain in their home until our father passed and our mother needed more skilled personal care and supervision. As their needs changed over those 2 years, Home Instead quickly adapted to ensure their needs were met. At the beginning, Home Instead did their grocery shopping and provided basic housekeeping services for 4 hours every other week. By the end, they provided services for 5 hours on 4 days per week, which extended to social interaction with our parents and giving family members a break during the day while caring for our dad in home hospice. The care professionals showed incredible patience, kindness and professionalism towards our parents and their services were indispensable. In addition, the owners, Nancy and Sal, and their office team were very flexible and supportive as our dad entered hospice and our parents' health declined and their situation continuously changed. We cannot thank them enough for their service, compassion, and professionalism.

  My family received a consultation visit from the owner. We explained all of my brother's needs and health issues, specifically, his incontinence and HIV. The owner left never stating that my brother's needs could not be met or that his infection was a problem. The next day, I contacted the agency stating we wanted to use their service and the office manager said she would mail contracts to sign. At the end of the week we had not received the contract so I called the owner. The owner told me he left several messages for me explaining they could not provide the level of care we needed, specifically dealing with incontinence. I never received such messsges. The owner should have been upfront during the Monday consultation and therefore, my family could have been pursuing other avenues of care instead of wasting time waiting to hear from Home Instead. Very disappointed.
