My wife, who has dementia and didn’t want to come to Dr required physical therapy met with Dr Joseph. During the appointment she told the Dr, “I trust you and only want to see you for my therapy, I don’t want a new therapist each visit”. The Dr said, no problem, just make sure to schedule it with me before leaving today. Which we did, with James. We waited nearly three weeks for the next appointment with Dr Joseph, only to be told “No, you’ll be meeting with Brian”. We explained, we waited 3 weeks for Dr Joseph, why did we wait 3 weeks for Brian? That’s when Ceci said, that’s just the way it is, if you want to cancel we will charge you $40. I explained, we spoke to James, he specifically scheduled us for Dr Jospeh, that’s why the three week wait. Ceci then said, none of that matters, unless you’re making the appointment directly with me, then you get who you get and who’s available. Ceci was yelling at my wife, openly in front of the whole office, my wife has dementia, yelling at her just angers her even more. Ceci is the worst front desk support I have ever seen in my life, exceptionally rude, condescending and aggressive with patients. When I questioned, why would James schedule us 3 weeks out for Dr Joseph, only for you to ignore tha5 and then put us with Brian? She said, James is a floater, what he does really doesn’t matter, if you don’t like it, then you can talk to corporate. Then Ceci said, none of this really matters, we’re going to charge you $40 today for missing your appointment. I reiterated, we didn’t miss our appointment, we’re here and on time to meet with Dr Joseph as scheduled by James. Ceci said, it doesn’t matter what James scheduled you for, if you don’t meet with Brian, you missed an appointment and I’m charging you $40. So my wife said “Fine, I’ll meet with Brian then call the insurance company and Drs to explain”. Then Ceci said “If I discharge you now, then there will be no charge, your no longer a patient”. So my wife, being exceptionally stressed and agitated, was discharged and I confirmed, there will be no missed visit charges. Ceci said yes, no charges, your discharged. However we asked for a paper confirming this and she said, we don’t provide papers of discharge, we just know, but if you get an appointment reminder, just ignore it.
