Went in for an eye exam for glasses and contacts, I wear transition lenses since I am almost 50 years old. Instead of giving me a prescription for the eye wear I already use, they gave me one without transitions. Now they state that I have to get another exam for transitions because although they already had my file stating I used transition lenses (which they gave me prior from my visit 2 years ago) I didn't tell them that when I went in.

Alex Sanchez the manager here discriminated against me today for the way I look [shaved head tattoos hispanic]. Treated me extremely unprofessional, I have filed a complaint with corporate against Alex Sanchez. He called the cops on me for looking at designer glasses and telling him I do not need help. Then proceeded to harass me and tell me its policy to have someone present with me while trying on designer glasses. 10 white women in the store and no one was bothering them but 1 Hispanic male that looks like a thug and this manager insisted on harassing me. Thought I was going to steal the designer frames and the cash drawer and called the cops. Corporate told me this is NOT their policy and would be getting back to me on this issue. Do not go to this store if you are a minority.

The "exam" process is so streamlined, it's very clearly designed to just shove it quantity over quality. Even during my exam, I tried expressing some vision concerns during the test, but the examiner (I doubt I could call them an actual doctor) didn't care and just continued to try and get me to brute force through the exam. My prescription didn't look right after I got it, and sure enough, the poor diagnoses is extremely evident at night. I will not be using them again, and highly recommend everyone goes to a place with an actual doctor present, not this virtual charade.
Note the canned response. There is a big difference between having the exam PERFORMED by a doctor, vs being REVIEWED by a doctor. If the one performing the exam does an inadequate and substandard job, it likely won't show in the review.
**Follow-up**
Scheduled an appointment for next day that was supposed to be with an actual opthalmologist... Only to show up & be told that doctor is absent for a week. This is to fix an already inadequate prescription due to this place's shady practices. This is also on top of having a long wait despite the appointment time.
I absolutely cannot recommend anyone here, and strongly recommend everyone goes elsewhere. The quality off care with regard to eye exams is absolutely atrocious.

They got me in same day (today) which was excellent as my glasses were in bad shape. I checked in and they asked for my insurance card, which i showed my card. They didn't not scan it and barely looked at it. They said they had a special going, that included the eye exam, contact exam, dry eye test, 1 pair of contacts, and one pair of "blue tag" glasses for $130, which to me is a great deal as I've paid over $100 just for the contact exam alone. They do "hybrid" visits. So a tech does the 4 machine tests, and then you go into a room with a virtual optometrist, and it's done over a video chat and the eye test "is number one or number two better" portion. This also worked for the contact exam. After the video call, I was promptly offered the pair of contacts. So I put those in and went to look for a pair of glasses. Obviously, there are less "blue tags" options to be found and we're only on the plastic frames. But if you are fortunate to find 2 blue tag frames, you can get them both for $80 (not including the lens costs). I only got one pair of glasses with a slightly higher price tag. At checkout, the salesman said it would take two weeks for them to be made. That took me back a bit because I really needed the new pair ASAP. But he said let me check and see if the tech is able to put them together today... which they did (I'm assuming a sales and satisfaction tactic). So what they said would take two weeks took 30 minutes.. nonetheless, I left after a basic and contact eye exam, dry eye test (i don't feel like i needed that, as I know they are dry. It was also an additional cost), a nice pair of glasses made in 30 minutes, and a pair of astigmatism contacts for around $265. Honestly, I thought it was a very fair deal. Just wanted to share my experience, hoping it might help someone in the future. Thank you to those who made recommendations to me. 💕

The worst place you will ever go. They charged me and didnt give me my product and tried to make it my fault. They were rude and called me names after they gave me the wrong contacts for a week telling me I didnt know what I was talking about because I never wore contacts before but come to find out a week later yes they were the wrong ones. They ordered new ones for me and never contacted me. I called many times and after being called nasty for inquiring about them I asked for a refund. Honestly go anywhere else. This experience was one of the worst experiences ever. Now I have to start this whole process over and try to go somewhere else. But seriously do not waste your time here. They are an absolute joke. Who knows if I will even get my almost 400$ refund. Worst experience ever.
Now to add to this... the number attached that is the so called owner is another automated phone number that will direct you to your nearest stanton optical. So there is no one who actually wants a resolution. Its just an automated response to any comment posted on Google.
