Visit the Planned Parenthood health center in Washington, NJ for emergency contraception (morning after pill), abortion, pregnancy testing, STD treatment, birth control, and sexual and reproductive health care.
While visiting my mother in NJ, I started to have symptoms that I was worried was STI related. I have had good experiences at Planned Parenthoods in the past so figured I would make an appointment to get tested & ask a doctor some questions.
From the get go, I was pleasantly surprised. The office has a poster in the seating area that advocates for trans people which instantly put me at ease. I was treated kindly & respectfully by the person at the front desk, Andrew. When they saw I was here for testing they gave me all the information I needed to know in regards to what my options were for treatment and payment, if I chose to see a doctor rather than just the free testing. I really appreciated how patient they were with me as I had them explain several times as I don’t have insurance. I decided to see a doctor in addition to the testing.
I was called in shortly after and greeted by my nurse, Alley. She was exceptionally warm, welcoming & personable. I felt safe & thoroughly cared for. She was beyond respectful, non-judgemental & genuinely kind. I appreciated her patient & humor. I felt at ease enough to be honest & forthright with my concerns which is rarely the case in these settings. I kept thinking, “I’ll definitely be coming back here if needed when I’m in town.” Alley also asked me what pronouns I use in a respectful way saying it was important to her that I feel seen and respected during my visit.
When Dr. Mary Beth came in she was direct & efficient while asking me clarifying questions. She listened as I explained my concerns and her expert opinion put me at ease from all the paranoid googling I did. She came up with two plans for me to help me get what I needed incase the results from my tests were positive. Her efficiency was appreciated greatly as she truly wanted to stay within my means and save me money on my visit while also giving me all the info I needed.
I am more than satisfied & cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you to everyone that helped me today, your care does not go unrecognized.

The staff is great, always has been. Definitely prefer coming to this planned parenthood vs going to st lukes, just personal preference. Dr here is very helpful and experienced. I've visited this location over many years and have never been disappointed or uninformed. Hope they remain an available option for the years to come!

I went here for IUD removal and replacement.
I was 2 years over due because personal reasons. They made me feel like such an inconvenience to them. I even heard the nurse and "Doctor" arguing in the hallway about me. The doctor clearly said, "She might as well keep it in if she's had it that long!" 🤯🤯🤯
They bashed me for everything. I tried to explain my reasoning, which you shouldn't have to as a patient, and they still insisted everything was my fault.
On top of all that. You leave the place and get harassed by abortion protesters outside telling you your a bad person for maintaining birth control 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally chased me down the road while I told them to please leave me alone a few times.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The doctor is very rude, not helpful, doesn’t explain anything, and seems like she’s just trying to get you out. No compassion when you’re in pain from their test. Extremely long waits for the doctor, and then to check out to leave. Would recommend literally anywhere else.
