I don’t understand how this is supposed to be a clinic for women who need assistance, especially in a timely manner. This is now the second appointment. I have booked (for two totally different reasons). My first appointment they canceled when I walked in because the doctor wasn’t there? My second appointment got canceled the day before.. my friend has also had the exact same issues with the Shrewsbury location. I just hope they can eventually get it together to be the clinic they’re supposed to be for women Thank God, I got in with my doctor last minute.

The doctors and nurses were all incredibly kind. I had a great experience and my procedure only took about 5 minutes once I was in the chair. Best Planned Parenthood I've been to.

I always give Planned Parenthood five stars just FYI. I’ve been going to them since I was 18 years old. I am a big supporter of them too in my life. They have always been of very good service to me and my economic status at the time. They have actually help prevented two major scares that I had in my life. However, this time, I don’t know whether it’s because I’m an older woman, with no health insurance currently & in between work, they cater to younger, they are understaffed, they have younger less experienced staff on duty just out of school, (I know there are more experienced doctors there I sat with them over the years), but I am really feeling neglected. I came in there for a simple UTI. I even did a home test and took some medicine that Uqora gives you to help you during this time. They just took some vitals. I did their little survey. They did a P test. The next thing I know I’m in the examination room with a young nurse practitioner who gives me an antibiotic tells me to take the whole thing with a sheet of paper explaining everything; and she takes off immediately as I’m checking out. I did try to ask her a couple other questions about menopausal health and sexual health, but I wish she expressed more concern for me because of my longevity there is a patient; and because of my health issues in the past. It’s Friday, so I understand too, but then I get a really nice bill afterwards. Anyway, I notice three days later, after the antibiotic is done, I didn’t feel good yet. I called them; and they said give it a week. So I didn’t do just what they said, and I called them 5 days later on Saturday. By this time, I am experiencing a low-grade fever, chills, and sweats… They said they will call me later that day, but they are understaffed. We all know why. Anyhow, I kept my phone on; even in church; and nobody called me back as promised that day. I just called today, but it’s a holiday and we also have a nor’easter. Before this, I did some research into the antibiotic they gave me. It is an “old cheap antibiotic with very low efficiency” as my European family, who are majority doctors overseas, relayed this important info to me. I’ve had UTIs before, not many, just two. I’ve been treated in the hospital. I’ve been treated in a walk-in clinic. They ALL got rid of my infection the first round. I decided to go to you because you have a lab on site; and I don’t have to wait a couple days after seeing a doctor in a walk in like my last round. I am also at a different stage of my life; and according to my age, I’m more prone to getting UTIs so, I don’t understand why I wasn’t simply given a stronger antibiotic initially or even another immediately after the first round due to my age & history; why say “wait a week “when I had symptoms still & prior experience with this illness, knowing it is a low grade antibiotic, and not treated with a little more concern; especially when I paid out-of-pocket.

Planned Parenthood is supposed to be a place that helps low income people and provide compassionate care, what’s going on here? Most of the women here are rude, impatient, and dismissive and don’t take the time to explain anything properly. On top of that the prices are way too high, was charged $400 for a Pap smear and for asking a question that she couldn’t even address the issue and told me to see a dermatologist. It’s really sad to see a place that’s meant to support the community treat patients this way.
