Dr. Meade is the best. I have been going to him for several years at the Family Eye Care Services. I would highly recommend him.

I was on time for my appointment and so was the doctor and aid. I got in and out in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I like going there. They even help choosing which insurance is best for me; AAA, AARP or my regular insurance.

We had appointments for eye exams 10:30 Saturday morning. So our weekend plans somewhat revolved around this appointment. We show up on time and were told “he called and he is not coming in”. My wife asked did you try to call us? The answer was NO. So if your time is worthless go ahead and use this establishment otherwise I would recommend going somewhere else.

The staff at this optometrists office is incompetent. My wife made an 11 AM appointment for her and an 11:30 appointment for me, and was told to show up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. We got there at 10:45, only to find out that they don't open until 11. We then filled out the paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. At 11:40, they continued to ignore my wife and took me in for a "pre-exam." I was put in a room the size of a walk-in closet with 5 machines and 3 girls who had no idea how to use those machines (at one point, they put a patch over my left eye, had me look into a machine projecting an eye chart to read by the left eye, and asked me to read it. I couldn't even see it!). They then told me to go back to the front and continue to wait for the doctor. When I walked out at 12:55 to find my wife still sitting there (in the meantime, they had taken in other customers who had later appointments but had arrived early), we just walked out. The mall has a JC Penny optical, a Sears optical, and a Sterling optical. I can't imagine why anyone would want to deal with the headaches of the Lenscrafter optician.

Watch their pricing on contact lenses. Can find contact lenses for 1/2 the prices elsewhere!
