The Newark Concentra is genuinely the worst healthcare facility I’ve encountered. In my experience, there seems to be a noticeable lack of care and respect in clinics located in predominantly Black neighborhoods. For instance, the treatment I received at the Edison Concentra was significantly better; there, I felt valued and heard. In stark contrast, the Newark Concentra seems to prioritize billing their clients over providing quality patient care. It often feels like their only concern is maximizing profit by keeping patients waiting for extended periods, which in itself could be considered a medical issue. The long wait times can exacerbate underlying problems and lead to further frustration and anxiety for those seeking help. It’s disheartening to witness such a stark disparity in care quality based on location.

Waited 3 hours and filled out the same paperwork/questionnaire 4 times. FOUR TIMES!!! They give you paperwork just to buy time. Then I waited in the patient room for an additional hour and was asked to fill out another form (the same one!!!) NEVER AGAIN.
They only interact with 5 star reviews thats why your establishment will never get better! Listen to the people who are giving you constructive ways to better your practice!

I am writing to express significant concerns regarding the level of service and care I received during my recent visit.
The wait time was unacceptably long, ranging between three and four hours. This indicates a serious issue with scheduling and patient flow. The conduct of the staff was notably unprofessional, which negatively impacted my experience. I found the physician's communication style to be highly problematic. Specifically
The physician did not actively listen to my concerns and repeatedly interrupted or talked over me.
The approach to diagnosis was unprofessional and dismissive of my input. The physician chose to assert a diagnosis prematurely rather than engaging with and thoroughly considering my detailed description of my symptoms and pain.
While I do not wish to return to this location due to these issues, I am unfortunately required to attend a follow-up appointment. I hope these serious concerns can be addressed internally to ensure a more professional and patient-centered experience for future visits.

I came to this Concentra facility for an N95 mask fit test for work. I arrived at 11 Am and I was called in at 2:03 Pm. While I was waiting, everyone who came before me was seen and left. People who came after, were being called while I was waiting to be called. I went to the front desk twice and ask when I will be called for my mask fit , each time I was told that I was next. Than 7 people were called and I was still waiting. The employees were laughing, talking and joking around loudly as if the lobby was empty. When I was finally called, I waited for another 5-10 minutes. It took only 3 minutes to do the mask fit test. Yet I had to wait 3 hours for a 3 minutes test. That is unacceptable. I have been to other concentration facilities and I was in and out. Maximum I stayed was 15 minutes.

I came to concentra for a physical and other things needed for a new job. I don’t like to come here and talk bad about anything or anyone , however. This place I gave it a 2, I gave it a 2 because to me there was nothing wrong with the doctors and nurses , not even the medical assistant who did my blood word and so forth , I think her name started with a J, she did good , i rarely felt when she did the blood work or Even giving me the vaccine , however, when it comes to the staff at the front, they see horrible , absolutely horrible , they were not professional, always laughing , talking about other things and people can hear about it , it was just horrible , the place itself you can tell that ther are not organized, I also had to wait very long , I was there, i believe 3 hours . What got to me though was the behavior of the girls in the front , I kept asking myself “ Where is the Manager here” If I was to act like that at my job , my Manager will kill me! They were behaving like they were home and not at work , and what bothers me is that that day I came home and read the reviews, there were many bad reviews and some fair and some were good , the owner of the place only has or had answered the good reviews and not the bad ones , and to me that’s unprofessional as well.
