Before live free, there were countless rehab and detox programs that I attended across the east coast. Each and every chance at trying to better myself, find a solution and move in the right direction was a failed attempt for almost 4 years. It all changed after being at live free for a short 5 or 6 months. It was everything I never knew I needed. I reinvented myself, made peace with my past and found recovery there. The structure, the discipline, the responsibility, the entire experience was humbling. When you have the right people in this field really trying to make a difference no matter how small the organization may be, there’s no limit to there reach. You help one person and they help another, your only hope is that chain never ends. I’ve been sober sense December 3rd 2015 and there’s no way around thanking Ryan Gagne, Mark Crandall and Live Free for being an enormous part to which that is true.
