Dr. Moody always makes me feel like her long lost friend and not her patient. She takes her time explaining the changes I am experiencing as I age and reviews different treatment options rather than recommending one. We need women who advocate for us and listen when we talk about our concerns. Dr. Moody definitely fits the bill.

If you’re having babies, the practice is great. If you’re in perimenopause or menopause find a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner bc this practice just nodded and smiled at me for 6 years from perimenopause and into menopause and being very symptomatic. They never mentioned to me HRT. I had to seek out Dr Polly Watson to get HRT while in perimenopause. After that, the last 2.5 years I was with the practice, they let me walk around with an unresolved infection putting me through increasingly uncomfortable procedures all of which provided no answers and asking me what I wanted to do next with no insight into how to resolve. I had to research to find out my situation was Genitouronary Symptoms of Menopause (GSM) which is a term the doc never mentioned to me. When I complained and shared info on how the practice needed to advance their work, I was cut out of the practice portal. Then I went to the Menopause Society and finally got to a Menopause Society Certified GYN, I learned the infection was so bad that they were shocked and immediately put me on a treatment of Clindamycin and told me all kinds of things I needed to differently to improve my condition none of which were offered by this practice. Even worse, when I was put on vaginal estrogen for an ultrasound by Associates in Women’s healthcare, it was like throwing gasoline on a fire as stated by the new GYN. Also, Associates wasnt tracking that my Mom has osteoporosis and didn’t recommend a Dexa before 60. I demanded bc of what I learned from Dr Mary Claire Haver and Dr Vonda Wright which is many women whose mothers had osteoporosis will be 30% depleted within the first 5 years of menopause. It’s a good thing I demanded a Dexa and they gave me the order bc I’m only 3 years post menopausal and I learned I’m 30% depleted and have been on HRT for years. My recommendation for all perimenopause and menopausal women is to find a different practice once you turn 40 bc this practice isn’t current and your longevity and strength are at peril until they catch up.

Dr. Moody is absolutely wonderful! She is professional, kind, and makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. It’s rare to find a doctor who truly listens and cares the way she does— the staff is friendly & welcoming, I always leave feeling well taken care of. Highly recommend!

The women taking care of women is so wonderful. The practice is lovely and well organized. The personal care and comfortable atmosphere make them one of a kind. Every need, from lab work to mammograms is done in the office. I will never choose a different ob/gyn. For me, being a patient at Associates in Women's Healthcare is worth traveling 45 minutes, and I'd probably travel further if I had to.
