Summit Plastic Surgery & Dermatology provides the highest quality cosmetic, dermatological, and reconstructive services in the Carolinas.
Summit Plastic Surgery & Dermatology is the only practice to provide plastic surgery, Mohs skin cancer surgery, and dermatology all in one office to the residents of North and South Carolina. For over twenty years, our providers have had a proven track record and excellent reputation in the area.
We continually seek to raise the bar and honor the Summit mission statement: "to provide top-quality comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients".
We have three convenient locations in Wilmington, Supply, and now our new office in Hampstead, NC to better serve you!
This practice was okay until my most recent appointment when I was able to hear everything going on outside of the room I was in. I could hear what was being said in the room to my left, the room to my right, and the staff at the nurses station making fun of a patient claiming they looked like pitbull crossed with the Simpson’s due to issues with their lip. I’m disgusted by the unprofessional behavior by whatever staff was obnoxiously making fun of patients.. in the hallway where (I’m assuming) everyone could hear.

Awesome Service.
Been a patient for many years and I must say that every single employee has given me excellent service. I have sent friends to Summit and they all say the same thing…everyone is caring, thorough, and professional.
All offices have been great at keeping all my skin issues under control. Special thanks to Maura Jones PA-C , her assistant Jess and Dr. R for taking care of me all these years. Honestly want to give them way more than five stars!

Doctors Sica and Ricciardelli and assistants provided a wonderful experience during my nose surgery. They are professional, kind, and compassionate in their work. Can’t thank them enough for their excellent service!

There’s too many PA’s not enough doctors. They never answer the phone or return your calls. It seems like every time I call they’re at lunch or it’s Friday (the are closed on Fridays) what got my to write this review was the fact they never sent my husbands prescription like they said they were. Now I’m having a difficult time tying to get a hold of them. It shouldn’t be this complicated.

3 stars because I love Dr. Loy, but the wait times are atrocious, and the fact that the place is saddled with Physician Assistant’s is sorely disappointing. Buyer beware, PA’s have never dissected a human face before. PA’s have not done a residency. They have their place in healthcare for sure, but not in Dermatology.
Secondly, waiting over an hour for a simple injection is just down right unacceptable for a satellite office.
We refer a lot of our own clientele to this practice, and will now think twice about considering the lack of consideration for patient wait times and down playing the expertise required for skin health and care.
