AVOID AT ALL COST ! GO TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM, A CHURCH, A RELATIVE - ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Be prepared to be treated like an unstable suiside risk. First security has to wand you but first they take all you're belongings wallet, phone, keys, belt, etc. and then proceed with the wand. We have to keep your stuff. It will be locked and secure and returned when you leave. Followed by the "intake" and back to the waiting room you go. Finally "the doctor is ready" oh but wait we have to take your beverage and lock it up. Then when you want to leave before they return your belongings you have to say " I don't want to be seen". I was there because I wanted help and instead treated like I should be under supervision or in a facility. I felt worse than when I arrived. IF YOU GOT THIS FAR PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND MAKE SURE YOUR LOVED ONES AVOID AS WELL. UPDATE - As you can see in the review they responded and requested that I call them to further discuss. I attempted and got voicemail that directed advises what to do if I'm a current patient or leave a message and wait for a return call. Mental health facility. Fortunately I'm not on the edge because they AGAIN failed for a mental health issue.

I went there looking for help because of a injury from a medication told them what happen told them of evidence of what I was going threw told them of the around 30 nurological symptoms I was having tried there best to get me to take meds and I told them they would make me worse because I had already tried them did not listen and unvolutary committed me now I am almost dead from nurotoxsisity and still have not got any help and have went to every hospital in Greensboro multiple times .It's said that you go tell the truth about a medication injury and either get treated like a drug attack or mentally ill.I have learned they know nothing about what medications do to you and there all they won't to do is push pills on you but that is there job it would help if they would listen to what your telling them. After being committed they talk me into trying another med telling them it wasn't a good idea and they said no it will help and it made me worse.I would like to say that the people at the behavior health were probally the nicest to me of all the places and I appreciate that and they probally help a lot of people and I think they don't know and do what they told I hope this will change just because you help people doesn't make it right to hurt others.

I brought my adult daughter to GCBHC because she was in a major depressive episode and having suicidal ideation. The intake nurse rated her risk for suicide as high. The psychiatrist , Dr. Betha, recommended she make an appointment with a gynecologist, monitor her menses, see a therapist and make an appointment with her psychiatrist. He ordered some labs and then discharged her without a safety plan. I am a therapist and will not recommend any of my clients to pursue care at GCBHC because of the fundamental failure in safety and care, which I have heard from other patients, and actually witnessed with my daughter.

Only go here if you want to sit for 5 hours with no end in sight and are ok with hearing the nurses and security laugh at you and other patients as if you can't hear them! The staff here is absolutely horrid none of you know how to help anyone in crisis and should ashamed of yourselves. If people saw the way I saw you treat others they would be disgusted. This place should be shut down or completely restaffed.

What a wonderful and pleasant experience. Dr. Terrence Bethea was beyond amazing. A doctor who has a wealth of knowledge but also as much consideration and human empathy. Give it a chance !!!
