Pickering was a horrible non empathic doctor.
Nurses too busy standing around talking about their fiancé’s to pay attention to the person we brought in with severe pain. Had to literally stand outside of the room and find someone that even cared.
Doctor misdiagnosed and sent patient home and said if the pain gets worse you can have a cat scan. Really? Had to come back the next day and have the cat scan and had appendectomy. Thanks for DOUBLE charging for same problem Where do we send you the bill?
Some of the nurses we have encountered have zero empathy, and ask questions that show that they obviously didn’t read the chart details before coming into the room.
I am not sure how some of them became nurses it’s very alarming/frightening
Steer clear of this emergency room & hospital if possible

This hospital is so slow. I don’t recommend coming here for an emergency there just gonna let you die in the waiting room:..I hate this place for real they don’t even realize how much pain people really are they just see you and don’t say nothing…what kind of hospital is that…never going back…

Do not come here unless you can't make it to Wake Forest or Duke. Absolutely ridiculous ER. No signs indicating the wait. No one to talk to. Attending physician will not let the PA's make any decisions. Expect 10 hour wait! I'm not joking. I have been to a lot of hospitals and this is by far the worst experience I've had. No one explains what is going on. Nurses refuse to wear masks even though flu is at all time high. I mean come on people. Is this a real medical facility? I gave this one star review with some hesitation but the ER deserves it. An elderly man beside me had waited 8 hours and had not been treated. Then he tells me the story of how his son died there a week earlier and his body was lost.
Yes I called that number and no one picked up. The person called a day later and we had a productive conversation. I do hope they can change their protocols before someone gets seriously ill or dies. But until that happens I will stay far away from any Cone Health facilities.

Very disappointed in how Cone handles family members and there support. My dad is in ICU. My mom, uncle and his wife are checked in. And were obeying the two persons rule in room. My girlfriend comes to support me and they want let her in unless someone else leaves. They wouldn't even let her sit in an outside waiting room. This is very disappointing that there is no more respect and consideration for families during the already difficult time they are here for. This is already the second time I've dealt with a similar situation at a Cone facility at Annie Penn.

Loved one went in to get a bed sore treated. They were in there for five days. I have pictures of her happy and saying she’s getting better and feeling well. Someone was with my loved one every day that she was there. The one night that someone could not be there with my loved one is when she passed away. They wanted to blame it on sepsis, but she wouldn’t have been in the hospital for five days improving and then die with sepsis. They kill people at the hospital and shift the blame they take no accountability. They tried to force fentanyl on my son when he went in for Crohn’s related issues, and when he refused the fentanyl, they called him angry and aggressive. This is a terrible hospital. Every loved one that I have that I went there are scared that they’re not gonna come out alive. No one should feel this way about a hospital.
