Because Alamance Dermatology just wasn't doing what they were supposed to. I got in touch with Brenda and she and the rest of the wonderful folks at Cone got me in the very next day. I am so grateful for all that Brenda, Dr. P and Karen done for me. I would suggest these ladies to anyone.. Again thanks so much!! You guys are awesome... :)

- MRMichael RichSep 26, 20251.0I went in for an appointment at Cone Health Dermatology because I had developed several new spots and was especially concerned about one on my back that had recently changed a lot. I asked for a full-body skin check. Honestly, it took me longer to change into the gown than it did for the doctor to check my ENTIRE body. I even asked her to look again, but she brushed it off and told me I was fine. I left feeling unsettled, so I scheduled a second opinion with another dermatologist who came highly recommended both by people I know and online. That doctor took a very thorough amount of time examining my skin—he even pointed out spots I hadn’t noticed (thankfully harmless). But when he looked at the spot on my back, he agreed it was concerning and decided to test it. The biopsy came back as skin cancer. If I had trusted the rushed exam at Cone Health, I would still be walking around thinking everything was fine. Now I’m scheduled for surgery in November to have the cancer removed. This experience was extremely disappointing and honestly frightening. Dermatology exams are not something that should ever feel rushed—people’s lives and health are at stake.
