Hoshi has been a dental hygienist for decades, and it shows in her skill in doing x-rays, updating the tooth charts, and cleaning the teeth. She has a very engaging personality, and that eases what is for most people a high anxiety procedure. Dr. Welborne also has an engaging personality, eager to learn something about his patients beyond their teeth. I was able to instruct him on the differences of being from the South Side of Chicago as compared to the North Side, and explain why the Pope is a Sox fan.
