I do not recommend Dr. Anthony Perkins. I paid for lipo suction, including fat removal of my back, yet the procedure left visible residual fat, which I have documented. When I raised this issue, Dr. Perkins refused to provide corrective treatment, showing a lack of accountability for his work.
During the procedure, he described my case as “easy,” but failed to adequately numb the area, causing severe pain that was communicated at the time. Prior to surgery, I disclosed a diagnosed auditory sensitivity, which was ignored when he increased the music volume once the procedure began.
This experience demonstrated disregard for patient comfort, medical disclosure, and professional responsibility. Based on my personal experience, I advise others to take their time and look elsewhere before choosing Dr. Anthony Perkins.

Okay so this is going to be a short one but I am giving Airsculpt one star because I couldn’t be any farther from happy with my results. I was promised to have a smooth belly with no loose skin (I paid a extra 5k for that paid 10k for the whole thing I had upper and lower abdomen) anyways the pooch from my lower abdomen is now loose with indentation all throughout it and my belly button has fell right back to the way it was before the surgery. It was a big waste of money. The photos are in order by before, a few days after, and almost three years later mind you I have been going to the gym and eating very clean to try and maintain.
Frequently Asked Questions About AirSculpt - Charlotte
What is AirSculpt®?
AirSculpt® is a patented, minimally invasive fat removal procedure offered exclusively at our clinics. At our Charlotte body sculpting location, we remove fat cell by cell through a tiny, freckle-sized opening— no scalpels and no stitches. It also tightens the skin, delivering smooth, natural-looking results perfect for anyone interested in body contouring in Charlotte.
Is AirSculpt® invasive?
AirSculpt® is a minimally invasive body contouring solution. It avoids general anesthesia and aggressive tools, making it safer and more comfortable. Patients remain awake throughout and recover quickly—often returning to daily activities within 24 to 48 hours, a great fit for busy Charlotte lifestyles.
Am I a good candidate for AirSculpt®?
If you’re over 18 and struggling with areas of stubborn fat, you’re likely a good candidate. Whether you’re considering a targeted procedure or a mommy makeover in Charlotte, AirSculpt® offers a tailored and highly effective option.
How is AirSculpt® different from traditional liposuction?
Unlike traditional lipo, AirSculpt® is gentler, doesn’t require general anesthesia, and involves far less downtime. For patients exploring body contouring options in Charlotte, AirSculpt® offers a more precise and comfortable alternative with faster recovery and smoother results.
How many AirSculpt® treatments are needed per area?
Typically, only one session per area is needed. Many Charlotte body sculpting patients also choose to combine multiple areas in one visit for a more complete transformation.
How long is the downtime or recovery?
Most patients return to regular activities within 24–48 hours. A compression garment is worn under clothing for about 14 days to support healing—ideal for Charlotte residents seeking quick and discreet recovery. Full recovery and results take about three to six months, but this can vary from patient to patient.
How much does AirSculpt® cost?
Pricing depends on the area treated and the amount of fat removed. For those considering mommy makeover services or individual sculpting procedures, a personalized quote is provided during consultation at our Charlotte clinic.
Can I use someone else’s fat for a fat transfer?
No, all fat used in AirSculpt® must come from your own body. This is especially important for those seeking fat transfer procedures as part of a mommy makeover.
How long do I wear a compression garment after fat transfer?
You’ll wear a compression garment for 48 hours continuously, then daily for two weeks. This helps minimize swelling and support final results—important for Charlotte body contouring outcomes.
What’s included in a Full Abdominal AirSculpt®?
This includes the upper and lower abdomen, waist, and love handles—areas frequently targeted in a mommy makeover treatment plan.
Can I treat just one area?
Yes. Whether you want to address just your arms, chin, or abdomen, you can treat a single zone or combine areas depending on your body sculpting goals.
Can I lose my double chin completely?
Many patients experience a dramatic reduction—or complete loss—of their double chin. Our Charlotte team specializes in sculpting the submental area for sharper jawlines and improved profiles.
How bad is bruising after a chin procedure?
Most patients experience light to moderate bruising that fades within 1–2 weeks. Your Charlotte body sculpting provider will guide you through a smooth recovery process.
How long does a chin procedure take?
Chin AirSculpt® usually takes just 20–40 minutes, offering a quick and efficient solution for facial body contouring in Charlotte.
Do you treat areas above the chin (cheeks, eyelids, etc.)?
AirSculpt® fat removal only treats the submental (under-chin) region. AirSculpt Lift, our facial fat transfer treatment, can rejuvenate these areas except the eyelids.
What does Chin AirSculpt® feel like?
Patients say it feels like a gentle vibration—similar to an electric toothbrush—and is well tolerated without anesthesia.
Can elderly patients get AirSculpt® on the chin or neck?
Yes! Many older Charlotte patients receive AirSculpt® to reduce sagging neck fat and enhance their jawline without surgery.
How long should I wait to get AirSculpt® after childbirth?
You should wait at least 3 months after a natural delivery and 6 months after a C-section. This timing is key for new moms planning a mommy makeover procedure.
When should I stop breastfeeding before my procedure?
You can breastfeed until the day of your procedure but must pause afterward until cleared by your AirSculpt® provider.
What part of the arms are treated with AirSculpt®?
AirSculpt® treats the full arm—from elbow to armpit—including bra rolls. This is a popular choice for Charlotte body sculpting patients looking to slim and tone the arms.
Is there enough fat in the arms for a transfer?
While the arms usually don’t yield enough fat for a large transfer, they may provide enough for smaller enhancements such as hand rejuvenation or subtle shaping.
How much fat can be removed from the arms?
It depends on your individual anatomy and goals, but most arms do not contain more than a few liters of removable fat. Your Charlotte body contouring specialist will assess this during consultation.
Does AirSculpt® tighten skin?
Yes, skin naturally tightens as fat is removed. For additional tightening, AirTite may be recommended—especially during mommy makeover procedures.
How soon will I see results?
Results are noticeable immediately and continue improving over six months, ideal for Charlotte patients preparing for weddings, vacations, or big life events.
Can AirSculpt® fix previous lipo procedures?
Yes. If you’ve had unsatisfactory results from a previous procedure, AirSculpt® can smooth and correct the area. Many Charlotte patients come to us for expert body contouring revision.
