  I have been a patient at this practice for over six years, and unfortunately, my experiences over time have led me to decide that I will no longer seek care from Cone Health–affiliated providers. The practice has consistently demonstrated a lack of organization, particularly with prescription management. Prescriptions are frequently called in incorrectly, and corrections often take weeks despite multiple follow-up requests. I understand the significant pressures and demands placed on healthcare providers and staff, and I have always tried to be patient and respectful. However, these ongoing issues are unacceptable and have negatively impacted my care. During one appointment, while walking back to the exam area, I overheard healthcare employees refer to me as a “problem patient” because I had made multiple requests for a necessary prescription refill. This was both unprofessional and upsetting. I attempted to address these concerns by requesting a conversation with the office manager, but my call was never returned. I have also experienced difficulties with Cone Health specialty practices. During a visit to the emergency department for a ruptured ovarian cyst, I was told by an ER physician that I was an inconvenience, despite being in severe pain that exceeded what I experienced during childbirth. Based on these repeated experiences, I would highly recommend Duke or UNC medical providers and hospitals, as they have consistently demonstrated professionalism, responsiveness, and timely attention to patient needs With follow up to the owner response a Voice Mail was left on that line December 16th or 17th. Still have not gotten a call back. Thank you!

  I’m honestly still upset about what happened. My provider MD Simmons-Robinson canceled my appointment just one day before — after I had scheduled it two months in advance. That kind of last-minute cancellation felt incredibly inconsiderate and disrespectful of my time. I rearranged my schedule, made plans around this appointment, and to be dropped like that with no warning or explanation was just unacceptable. Or didn’t even at least give me a option to assign me with a different provider since this came up just so awful. But in the middle of all that frustration, MORGAN THANK YOU!! at the front desk was a total lifesaver. She was calm, patient, and incredibly professional. She didn’t just brush it off — she genuinely listened, understood how upsetting this was, and did everything she could to help. MORGAN immediately started working to get me rescheduled with another provider as soon as possible. She showed empathy, urgency, and care when I needed it most. Morgan turned a really disappointing experience into something I could walk away from feeling supported. She deserves all the recognition for how she handled this situation. Thank you, Morgan — you were the best part of today.
