  Please confirm with your insurance what your out of pocket expenses before visiting this clinic. They will misinform you of what your payment obligations will be, and won't tell you until months after you finish treatment (when they send you a bill). Just to be clear, the treatment and friendliness while I was getting treatment was great.. My one star review comes from my experience five months AFTER completing treatment. On my first visit to Stroud Chiropractic, I was told and given in writing a statement that my insurance would cover $xx.xx and my out of pocket expense would be $16.50 per visit. I elected to pay in advance for my treatments. After two months of have multiple visits/week, I received a bill for over $300. I called and reminded them that I paid in advance and in cash/credit card several times and my treatment was paid in full before my final visit. They informed me that they miscalculated what my out of pocket expenses were, and that the insurance company confirmed their miscalculation. When my treatment was stopped due to insurance stating they would no longer cover, and it came time for insurance to pay, they didn't pay the full amount that Stroud Chiropractic expected, and Stroud placed liability on me for the remainder of the bill. The fault should have fallen on the insurance company, but they have ways to get themselves out of that liability. Some fault falls on Stroud Chiropractic for miscalculating the numbers to begin with, and for not confirming their data before I was seen. Certainly though, zero fault falls on me, since I showed up, heard what to pay, and paid. I spoke with the staff a couple of times about how it could possibly be my fault that they had a miscalculation between themselves and the insurance company. I also asked how it wasn't caught sooner that 5 months after my first treatment. I contacted an attorney about my legal rights and I was told that the insurance company has their side covered, but that Stroud Chiropractic could wave the balance since I clearly wasn't at fault. I was warned by the attorney that Stroud Chiropractic would send me to collections and tank my credit score if I did not pay them. When speaking again about the situation, the individual said she would inform Bob Stroud of the situation. After her talk with Bob, he confirmed that I needed to pay them and offered nothing other than a "payment plan" so he could get his money from my wallet. I wrote him a letter about how displeased I was about this situation and how I felt taken advantage of by him and the staff. 24 hrs later.. Without a phone call, or email, I received confirmation from my bank that Stroud Chiropractic went ahead and charged my credit card the balance. Again, everyone was nice while I was receiving treatment, but I was wrongfully changed money due to their mistake. Some places only are in it for the paycheck and not for the individual they are treating, and it showed here in my situation.. My recommendation, confirm with your insurance what your out of pocket expenses will be BEFORE ever allowing Stroud Chiropractic to treat you. $300 might not be a major amount to most, but to some, it can be the difference of getting groceries that month or not.
