  This review is long overdue. I’ve been seeing Dr. Hood for three years now. And as I prepare for my next visit on next week, I’m reminded of just how blessed I am to have him as my OB-GYN. Simply put, Dr. Hood saved my life last year. I was rushed to the emergency room one morning, unaware of what was going on. They made one phone call and he was there before the afternoon. We had some tough decisions to make and quickly, and he gave me my options and asked me and my mother to trust him. Not only was that easy to do, but more-so because we trusted God to work through him; and He did just that. And, he’d ALWAYS taken good care of me. He was so comforting to my mother during that stressful time, and he made me feel seen and heard as a patient. I now travel from out of state just to keep him as my doctor. I just have to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for taking good care of me and for having the heart to comfort my mom before and after my procedure. I understand that some of these other reviews may be discouraging. But I would challenge those who are uncertain to consider how difficult healthcare can be at certain moments and give some grace and give Dr. Hood a try. He is truly wonderful, professional, and he’s funny. He’s also an active listener, which is very important for women’s rights. If there are any other specialists that he feels you should see, he will recommend you because sometimes it takes more than just him to take care of you. Also, thank you to his staff. You guys have always been great to me. See you soon! 💕

  I have been very pleased with my experience here. My insurance changed so I had to switch doctors and I prayed that God would direct me to the right doctor because I knew I needed to eventually have an hysterectomy. God answered my prayers, Dr. Hood is the best! I love that he explains everything in a compassionate way and listens. My procedure & healing process went better than expected. I have friends who had an hysterectomy months before I did by other doctors and they’re still having issues. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Hood. Great experience!

  I chose Dr. Hood and his staff because my co-worker was a patient there 10 years ago and said they were great. Well, a lot has changed. They made my first pregancy the worst experience. Very condescending, arrogant attitudes, and will treat you like a number rather than a patient. Please, if you want a doctor/staff that actually treats people like human beings, go elsewhere!
