- LHLeo HAug 29, 20251.0On may 8 2025 i went in to get on prep .was told to pay 60 dollars copay. Under the affordable health care act private insurers must pay the copay for prep office visit. It is preventive medicine. I have cigna insurance I called cigna..they agreed w me..wanted to refund my money if Pp recoded and resubmitted the claim. Today aug 28 the gladstone office manager refused. She claimed they arent a primary care facility. But you employee RNs and all the services a prep script refill requires is a urine sample,a blood draw and an hiv cheek swab. This is preventive medicine fully covered by my insurance guaranteed by pres obama ??? So im out 30 bucks.. even worse noone notified me when i needed to return to the clinic for a new script or what test needed to be preformed. I literally just peed 5 mins before i arrived and now they want me to give a sample?! So i never got my prep refilled...despite my insurance happy to pay pp.. And i left todays appointment. Abby did my nexplanon removal and was very reassuring and definitely eased my nerves! The girls were great and will definitely be going back if I need anything!

Except I can't do that!!! I took one hour off work and am expected to be in at 10. So guess I'm missing my BC shot, because this time off was planned in advance and it takes 2 more weeks to request more time off. Oh and I lost an hour of work for no reason!!! You couldn't have warned me yesterday so I could go to work????? Awful for working people, who really need PP's help. This just sucks.
