I also had my eyes checked here at Pearle Vision at Roseville, MN and had similar kind of poor experience! Dr. Meyer could not detect the problems with my eyes, instead kept on putting remarks as everything is okay. However, the underlying problems with my eyes were detected when I got those diagnosed at other center. And when the same feedbacks are echoed in several of the other reviews, it strongly establishes the hard and true facts about this center! This store manager Alvin is very rude, impatient and does not even know how to service a customer! And, he does not even have the capability of accepting criticism! It’s like we always have to say nice words about them! Whenever it comes to negative feedback, the only statements they have in their defense is that they investigated the complaints thoroughly but there is no evidence to support it! To this point, I do have all the evidence (texts, invoices, etc.) to support my claims and if the store manager Alvin wants me to post the same here, I would be more than happy to do so! A simple but useful advice to the store/office manager: learn to accept criticism and try to respect and value customer feedbacks to improve the quality of service as well yourself instead of baseless defense and blatant lies! Undoubtedly the worst Pearle Vision center in twin cities I have visited thus far with incompetent, unskilled and unknowledgeable staffs/doctors! Highly dissatisfied!

Edit: An in person measurement will be more accurate than an online photo with no scale, as you say millimeters can make all the difference in how glasses work out. Instead of providing guidance you'd rather gatekeep info just because it's not legally required? Tell me you care more about selling than actually helping people get the right glasses! Jillian and the older gentlemen who ran the exam were super lovely and knowledgeable. After the exam I was paired with the store manager Alvin and I told him I was just looking for my prescription and pupil distance so I could purchase safety glasses online. Would have been a great opportunity for him to mention they sell prescription safety glasses, as the customer behind me was being fitted for them. Of course when you mention that you are considering buying glasses elsewhere optical people get cagey, and Alvin refused to measure my pupil distance citing that "each manufacturer has different ways of doing it" which is blatantly NOT TRUE. I had to go to a second optician elsewhere who promptly whipped out the binocular device to give me the numbers. Having worn glasses for 25 plus years, I've grown real sick of the weird sense of superiority opticians can have, and have little tolerance for it. If any effort had been made to give me my measurements I certainly would return to this location, but this is a once and done visit. Frame styles were ok, but very samey and bland. You certainly pay for the name brand more than actual style.

This has been a long pending review! If possible, I would have given a negative star rating! Had a very unsatisfactory experience with getting my Rx glasses from here - both the times! First time, I chose a “Made in Italy” RayBan frame for my glasses and ordered the same. I waited for several days to get it ready for pick up, but eventually when I followed up with them as there were no updates at all, I was told that the glasses were lost during transit after being shipped from the lab and they are sending another pair of glasses! When I got it, it’s a “Made in China” cheap quality frame! When I asked for a replacement, they simply refused to do anything about it! Moreover, the lenses they provide are not so authentic and neither those are of premium quality that they claim those to be! I got to know about it when I visited a different store and had my glasses examined which was really shocking! Last but not the least, about Dr. Meyer - whom I had my eyes examined by - did not realize he is such an incompetent optometrist! When I realized, it was already late! I should have gone for second opinion to make sure everything was fine with my eyes! He kept on telling me that my eyes were in perfect condition with absolutely no issues - both the times I visited him! However, either he could not check properly or simply lied on my face or just showed lack of sincerity (intentionally or unintentionally) in doing a thorough test and check up to diagnose an old injury in my eyes that has now led to a more serious condition! Such an incapable optometrist! Should he have done his job properly, the medical condition I have today with my eyes could have been averted or at least be controlled at much earlier stage! Utterly disappointing, frustrating and pathetic experience with this place! Not at all recommended!

I've been a customer/client of Dr. Meyer and this Pearl Vision location for 10 years. I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge. He has state of art of equipment to check your eyes and the health of your eyes. They keep accurate records so you can track your health over the years. I highly recommend this Pearl Vision location and putting your trust in Dr. Meyer. I do have to laugh at some of the negative reviews. Read them carefully. They tell a story about WHO wrote it. It made me mad, so I posted my experience. If you want quality and integrity, trust Pearl Vision, Dr. Meyer and his staff.

After reading some of these reviews, I’m guessing that part of my experience Could quite possibly have had to do with the fact that I am on medical assistance, as I am seeing Several rave reviews for the manager, Alvin. Upon first contact, I was quickly Made aware that my presence was an annoyance to him. The few questions I asked were met with a curt response And I could tell that he was eager To be done helping me. I have worked in customer service and retail In several different capacities so I feel that I am fair and Understanding in most circumstances, however, after interacting with the manager, Alvin, I have decided to go To a different pearl vision franchise in the tc Metro area And avoid having to interact with him again altogether. I found him to be condescending and incredibly rude and I don’t typically write Google reviews, I generally feel that I am an easy-going Straightforward customer; the experience of interacting with him Really put me off and I was treated very rudely, Condescended to And told that he had not taken down my information, although I vividly remember him taking measurements my prescription, etc. I could go on, but I suppose I’d prefer to find a number for corporate or the franchise and talk to someone above him about his rude behavior Especially after seeing that he has treated others Quite well, the whole interaction was off-putting and I Find it quite interesting that he seems to be able To treat some customers with the dignity and respect they deserve while Completely dismissing others. the other staff members were quite amicable
