This store is never quick, responsive, or actively trying to help. They are quick to let you know that they cannot help you unless you bought from them originally. If you are hoping for helpful you will be out of luck here. If you are visiting it would be best if you stick to your normal provider unless you don’t want to bill insurance for your medical expenses.

We were at Mayo for a completely unrelated reason, but I was very excited to see that they have a sleep apnea store. I stopped in and Shania was super helpful. I bought a hose cleaner which I didn’t know even existed. I also got to see some other models of masks that will work with my Resmed . She recommended that I buy them locally and provided me a list of local sleep vendors. Stop by; it’s Disneyland for Cpap users!

I've been without a safe CPAP machine for 9 months and without any machine for 6 months, despite the store's unforced, standard commitment to replace a machine contaminated with heavy toxins with a new one once I returned the toxic machine from remote storage. Everything in our home became contaminated by toxins, including my CPAP machine, and my doctor ordered a replacement of my machine. When I returned it as requested, they took it but declined to replace it. After months of physical recovery and extremely costly and difficult replacement of our belongings at our own cost, the Mayo Sleep Store leadership is trying to force me into using the toxic machine for four more years so they can collect rent on it. It made me extremely ill after previous attempted decontamination at the store. Despite my career using technical interviewing skills, I've had extreme difficulty getting my questions answered. For six months, they have failed to answer most of my questions in any form, though I asked them in writingto send me written disclosures. Repeatedly, they have contradicted themselves within conversations, ignored my questions and decisions, talked over me, tried to end conversations once I started speaking, ranted at me, and told me they couldn't put things in writing because they were "too complex" to write but had to be done verbally. Yet, they have never been willing to discuss anything complex. They've pressured me to verbally okay testing without also saying in the same sentence that I will never use that machine again. No matter how many times I tell them that I will never use that machine again, they keep telling me that I will do so and they will charge my insurance rent for it for four more years. To establish accountability, I told them to stop calling and emailing and send written corresponded with full disclosures instead. Twice since then, the new manager called without notice, using coersive techniques, disregarding my patient rights, informing me that I'll have to go against my Mayo Clinic doctor's orders so the store can collect rent on a dangerous machine--and making excuses for his calls and then contradicting himself. Mayo employees from different departments and an outside CPAP provider each told me he said that I was choosing not to get a loaner; he denied it. I worry they'll use the toxic machine as a loaner for others. When I previously brought the contaminated machine to see if it could be decontaminated, store personnel said it couldn't be decontaminated or parts replaced, but the new manager is now insisting it will be "repaired." Scientifically, there isn't any way to remove the contamination other than to remove the entire machine. The new manager won't discuss science, industry standards, or legal disclosures. Six months after I turned in my machine as requested in their offer to replace it with a new one free of charge, the manager informed me that instead of the new machine they offered at no charge, "You can buy a used machine from Mayo" if they can't force me to use the toxic machine. It would be cheaper to buy a new one online than a used one from Mayo. The store's policy was to never replace bad equipment with used machines. They won't discuss the promise they made to me. In 20 years, I have never until now had any problems with CPAP providers. The drop in professionalism came in later 2022. Shortly after the latest disrespectful call, I informed Mayo Patient Experience in writing to tell the store again not to call or email me and not to test the machine without my written consent. They must send me full disclosures about what agreeing to that would imply. No response so far. Calling the phone number you'll see in Mayo's reply results in no change and it's now blocked for me so I can't order supplies. Patient Experience seems to go by the manager's notes rather than the facts. There has been no help from Mayo higher ups. Do they even know? My opthamologist said the lack of a CPAP can damage my retinas. In this situation, the needs of the patient come last.
