I cannot recommend this place enough! As a new patient, from the first time I walked in, I was greeted with warm welcome from all the staff. The office itself spotless and well taken care of. I met Dr. Schmitz and immediately felt at ease! He is an absolute professional and a true expert in his field. Dr. Schmitz has a perfect combination of expertise along with great bedside manner. He listened to all my concerns and made sure I was comfortable every single moment of every visit I’ve had. I felt heard, valued, and most importantly, safe. The care provided all around was exceptional, the entire staff truly is wonderful. I guarantee they would make even the most anxious person feel calm going to the dentist. It’s clear that everyone here loves what they do. If you are in search of a dentist who is not only excellent at their craft but also genuinely cares about their patients' well-being, you’ll find it here. - AYAmanda YunkeOct 14, 20255.0Today was my first appointment at Oxford Lakes Dental, and I was so impressed. I have severe dental anxiety, so first impressions mean a lot. I was instantly greeted with smiles by the wonderful receptionist. The new patient paperwork and check-in process were smooth and easy. The office itself was clean and inviting. Dr. Schmitz assistant then took me back and did several X-rays that were quick and painless. She was easy to talk to and so friendly, which helped calm my nerves. After the X-rays were taken, Dr. Schmitz came in with a big smile. I'm a previous patient of his; he used to work at a different dental office that was about three minutes from my house. I will now drive 40-50 minutes to be seen by him. Dr. Schmitz has the best bedside manner that I've ever experienced in a dentist. He will educate you on anything you're unsure about. He gives his personal opinion without passing judgment or making you feel pressured. He also gives options for different ways to treat whatever issue is going on. During procedures, he will explain step by step what he is doing; he will stop and check and make sure you're feeling and doing okay. When you're in his chair, I honestly feel like he has your best interest at heart. He understands that everyone is different and handles being in his chair differently. Thank you to Dr. Schmitz and his amazing team for making today a great experience at Oxford Lakes Dental.
