- DSDean L. SmithNov 28, 20255.0I was visiting from Illinois for Thanksgiving and stopped by the YMCA Marinette-Menominee with my two young sons. Even though the Y was closed for the holiday, the manager, Jenny, and her staff were there cleaning up after their annual Turkey Trot. I asked Jenny about using the gym, and she couldn’t have been more kind — she opened it up for us and made my boys feel welcome. The staff even shared some leftover treats with them. The facility may be older, but it has everything you need for a good workout, and the atmosphere is truly family-oriented. What really stood out was how friendly, caring, and community-minded the staff were. It’s clear this Y takes pride in making people feel at home. Thank you again to Jenny and her team — you made our Thanksgiving morning extra special.
