The entire staff welcomed me and took the time to explain my treatment plan and offered multiple options, helping me feel informed, supported, and comfortable — even through the tears. It’s not easy to find a highly reviewed dental office that accepts MetLife insurance and is kind starting with the very first phone call, but Birch St Dental truly delivers. This office is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from my home. I initially hoped to find something in Traverse City for a slightly shorter drive and the convenience of running errands. I looked at or contacted 57 other dental offices (yes, really). I made other appointments..but each time I picked up the phone to cancel my gut kept telling me Birch St Dental was the right choice — and it was. They have it all: a functional website where I could complete all my paperwork ahead of time, clear information about the practice and hours, an up-to-date Google page, confirmation emails, call backs, email follow-ups, and excellent communication overall. That extra 15 minutes of driving was absolutely worth it. They also worked with me to get scheduled for a procedure before the end of the year, which meant so much to me. I’m ready now, and starting treatment while I’m already there truly matters. Of course I had to be extremely flexible. But if I wait…. I might not come back. I know myself. (thanks Megan - and another rockstar - for spending probably almost 30 mins with me scheduling apts for a whole list of things!) I’m not excited about dental work, but I am genuinely looking forward to going back to the dentist — and that says everything. Worth the drive. Thank you to each person I interacted with today! I appreciate you.
