I’m only writing this review because it looks like someone else had a similar experience and I feel like people should know.
I went in about eight months ago for a rash and swelling on my lips. The Dr immediately believed it was contact dermatitis from my toothpaste. She had me change my toothpaste and check back in. Things continued to get worse. They then prescribed a steroid cream, which provided temporary relief whenever it was used.i was told to continue the cream (1-2 weeks on with three days off inbetween). I kept coming in showing pictures and getting the same response. I was so uncomfortable and in pain. I did patch testing and they believed they found the culprit to my rash. But I do not use any of the allergens that I showed a reaction to. (Also getting the patch testing was a terrible experience, I was basically naked and had men in my room who did not identify themselves. I did formally complain about that and they were kind and understanding).
I finally went to a different dermatologist and they swabbed my lips and discovered infections. I’m now on an antibiotic and my lips are improving. I can’t believe it took eight months to have someone consider something other than contact dermatitis and to actually listen to my concerns and not be dismissive. Also apparently the steroid cream is not helping…so it’s just prolonged things.
I let them know I got a second opinion and wanted them to know and they just said “thanks for letting us know. Hope you are well” zero acknowledgment of their errors.
Very disappointed in them. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.

I wouldn’t trust them. I came here looking to finalize and make sure I understand the skin condition I had, but didn’t leave with any sure confidence. It seems like they’re too prone to calling redness dermatitis, prescribing some cream, and telling you to come back in 3 weeks. But also while ignoring a lot of important details you tell them.
Especially, when there are skin conditions that are NOT treated by cream alone. AND conditions where steroidal cream can actually be harmful for certain conditions. Which is why I’m cautious about what they have quickly prescribed me.
Without giving away tons of personal details:
I told them I had an event that was stressful to the body.
Doctor says: That is a possibility (but didn’t consider it much further).
I told the doctor I had some pain nearby.
Later the Doctor says: Well because you had no pain it couldn’t be that (ignoring what I said before, again!).
I also showed 20 photos of the progression in a localized area (no major comment about pattern or anything).
There wasn’t enough reason for me to believe what I had was due to touching something. It’s easy to put that as the blame. I did think it at first, but had too much evidence the contrary. It firstly lasted too long to just be “contact dermatitis” and also would have itched in any way too. It also spread beyond where it initially began (and this was shown in the photos), making their diagnosis very incorrect.
I personally know what I should have likely been diagnosed with, or even have been considered. But the doctor completely ruled it out saying “It doesn’t look like that”. Even though I have at least three major indicators that that’s the case, and other doctors have hinted at certain things.
I messaged to follow up and I never got a reply after a week. This could have eased some of my issues with this practice.
I paid $70 out of pocket (indicative of highly specialized care) and more covered by insurance for this visit. I would expect an in depth and educated analysis. But instead, they ignored multiple things I mentioned to them and flat out rejected possibilities with no evidence besides “It doesn’t look like that” within less than a few minutes of looking.
There isn’t the compassion as a doctor to listen to the patient, and there likely is not the skill to recognize skin conditions either. Again, I wouldn’t trust them or be comfortable/confident ever coming back. Because if the diagnosis is so wrong and all other possibilities ruled out immediately, there’s zero chance for continued future care.

Their shameful “fancy hands,” are too good for poor people skin. They refuse to accept my Medicare. They do not treat low income or disabled patients. Their “discretionary policy,” to reject Medicare insured patients that receive assistance is definitely questionable, as skin cancer doesn’t make fiscal decisions like that. This greedy practice has no place in medicine.
Complaints about their behavior and policy should go to: ADA, AMA, Medicare, and the State Board of Health.
