SCAM!!! Scheduled a phone appointment at 4:20pm with Dr. Olson, had to prepay for my appointment out of pocket, with a 20 min calling window. Come 4:45, no one called me. I called in and the office was closed. Then I dialed 9 to speak with the on-call attendant- who was not on call since I had to leave a voicemail. 30 mins later, I still have not received a call back from anyone. I hate to admit but I fell for this SCAM. I'll be reaching out to BBB, attorney general and the bank regarding this medical hoax.

I found everyone at the clinic to be helpful and efficient, as well as welcoming. This was my first visit, and I am happy to return.

I've been seeing Meagan and Dr. Smith since they were in Gettysburg. I followed them to Thurmont when they moved. Very caring and compassionate. Office is always friendly. Payment or copay is always due at check in. Has been since I first became a patient.

I have been a patient of Talbot Smith for well over 25 years. He became my primary care physician at the mere age of 12- I am now 38. Dr. Smith is attentive, listens and I thoroughly enjoy catching up on life and the many mile stones over the past 2 decades. I am at the very least unimpressed with his management staff to say the least. I have been "permanently discharged" due to an unpaid bill of aprox $250 that my insurance at the time would not cover (from a previous employer whom HR can't seem to be bothered with straightening out). I have since paid the bill in full that was due out of my own pocket (which has been the case most of my life - self pay). I have been loyal to a fault - traveling through out the years to his office from Baltimore, MD because this is a doctor whom I am most comfortable and familiar with. I have left multiple messages with the office manager "Kim" who can't seem to return my numerous voicemails. Seems as if a 25 year doctor patient relationship, through the laugher and tears costs a mere $250 these days people. I am more than certain had Dr. Smith been brought up to speed on this dilemma he would correct it immediately. Still awaiting a response and corrective action. Hopefully this grabs some ones attention. Update: No resolution offered. Kimberly Thuy lacks compassion and empathy. Very cut and dry policy with no room for exceptions. She kept referencing a unpaid bill that was in fact paid in full. She wanted to argue as opposed to work towards a solution. Beyond disappointed. History should have carried more weight than a one-time billing issue. There was no consideration for my long-standing relationship with this office or the fact that this was an insurance complication outside of my control. It sends the message that money outweighed the doctor-patient relationship. Health care should be about care first, not a transactional cutoff over a relatively small balance. The trust I placed in this practice was built over DECADES. Losing that because of a billing dispute undermines the very principles of patient health care. Doctor-patient relationships are supposed to be long-term and collaborative-not conditional on one disputed bill. Kim refused to allow me to speak to my primary care physician as she knows Dr. Smith would be prompt to correct the situation. The way this was handled makes me feel like I was seen as a dollar sign, not a patient. I urge the office as a whole to reevaluate this situation as it deserves more reflection. The lack of compassion, empathy and humanity displayed by Kim Thuy is chilling.
