  I received monovision surgery in 2019 at this facility. I was told that one eye would be treated for distance vision and one eye would be treated for close up vision and that my brain would accommodate to the surgery so that I would be able to have excellent close up and distance vision both. The thought of not having to wear glasses was very appealing to me. Unfortunately, that never happened. My brain did not accommodate to the procedure. After the surgery I was never able to read books again and over the past few years my distance vision continued to worsen. This year, I went to see about an enhancement which I was told at my initial appointment would be free of charge and that it was not a big deal to do this correction. At the follow up, I saw Dr. Debra Weltman to discuss correcting these issues. She was very nice and even gave me her cell phone number for follow up but the tone changed. She told me that an enhancement was a brutal procedure that had a very difficult recovery and that they would not pay for the enhancement since it was a "different" procedure than initially was performed. She did say that they would give me a discount. She also told me that I have 20/20 vision, which I don't, and that my vision problems were likely due to my dry eyes. Looking over the reviews for this center, dry eyes seem to be the reason which is often given for less-than-ideal results after surgery. When I told Dr Weltman that I could see the TV when I closed my eye meant for reading, she dropped the dry eye explanation and said that they would do the enhancement-but again, I would be charged for this surgery. Losing trust in this facility, today I went for a second opinion with a surgeon who also does corneal transplants. This surgeon felt that an enhancement was not appropriate, as the risks were too significant. She would not do it. So now, although I originally chose monovision because I didn't ever want to wear glasses again, I will need to get special glasses to wear for both distance and reading. I would not recommend this facility for anyone considering Lasik. It feels like a place that does a high volume of surgeries without really discussing the possible implications of your choices. If I was told that the monovision may not work, I obviously would not have gone this route.

  Had LASIK monovision on Saturday and very much satisfied after post op result. No pain and dry eye and eye sight improved without glasses. Thanks to Dr Robert’s and Dr Weltman for providing full information before and after surgery. I highly recommend LASIK Rockville.

  I would love to share a review for the entire team at LASIK Plus in Rockville, MD. From the warm welcome to check out at the front desk (Ale) to the prepping with the tech (Ben) who both made me feel super comfortable on arrival until the time I departed. Both were so personable and kind. To both of the Dr’s I give a stellar review on their knowledge and thoroughness throughout the process. Dr. Weltman gave a great overview (in person), answered all of my questions and concerns. Her instructional video was well done. All in all she was clear, detailed and straightforward. The fact that she said I could call/text her with any questions and she would be accessible was a plus. Dr. Roberts had a calm and cool demeanor the morning of the laser eye surgery. He made me feel comfortable and calmed my nerves before getting started. He clearly explained every move he made during the laser eye surgery process. It was quick and I felt confident when everything was done. I would highly recommend this team for their care, compassion and knowledge to anyone looking to get LASIK eye surgery.

  Dr.Wills and Dr. Weltman were amazing. They talked me through the whole procedure, was a little nervous but they helped calm me down. My experience was 10/10 , I could have done this sooner , best decision I ever made. It feels so unreal seeing without eye glasses , My vision was blurry whenever I would take off the glasses. Now I can see everything, I feel so excited , it’s a whole new world I have to explore without being restrained to glasses.
