Worst hospital I’ve ever been to.. they don’t do anything I genuinely feel like they would let you die!! That’s why I go to Anne Arundel. Plus as a hospital how do you have 2.4 stars

I had just fallen off my horse and needed to be seen due to not being able to walk or do really anything with out my rib having sharp and painful shocks. I also had a history of seizures and head injuries due to what I do and when it came time to make sure I was okay they, and I quote “didn’t see a reason why” to go forward and scan my head. Now it doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together that when you fall off the horse you most likely hit your head in some sort of impact(hence why we wear helmets!) anyways now I am 2 weeks from my visit there and was told there was nothing wrong and just bruising from impact and to rest 3 days max. I was out of work for a week and ended up going in still with pain. Bc I had to due to the doctor giving me 3 days only. Went to a different doctor with the Scans of my rib that they took and it turns out I have two bulging discs one minor and one major and a broken tail bone. Which wasn’t hard to miss according to my new doctor and his techs. Really disappointed in UM as they had them on a 3 hour back up and read my scans wrong. I went here as it was the closest and I knew some of the nurses there and felt safe. But now will never be returning or referring ppl there.

Brought my partner in for chest pain, high blood pressure, and excessive bleeding from complications from wisdom tooth extraction. They did not put her on a heart monitor, took a single blood pressure reading, and when setting up for the EKG the nurse ripped up her shirt without permission in-front of the male doctor and male blood tech. She was too scared to say anything and I was just in utter shock. Afterwards a nurse came to set her up with a gown before receiving x-rays.
Upon inspecting the bleeding surgical site, the doctor told us that the massive blood clot covering all of her upper left teeth was normal and to follow up with her surgeon. Upon seeing the oral surgeon we were informed that she was experiencing a significant complication that required an additional procedure.
Between getting her x-rays taken and being seen again, she spiked an obvious fever and was visibly red, and it was never addressed or even acknowledged.
The doctor told her to take Pepcid for the chest pain for GERD, which was completely ineffective despite talking multiple doses. After reviewing her blood results on our own it would seem that the doctor either didn’t look over the results or felt it was unnecessary to tell us that a number of the tests came back out of the set range or close to out of the set range.
The doctor spoke more directly to me, and was openly dismissive of my partner. We were only there for maybe an hour and a half before being told she was good to go. They had her walk out unassisted.
The blood tech was very attentive and well mannered. As was the billing representative.

Sunday (6 days ago) I brought my 4yo here after she placed her entire palm on a glass top burner. I only decided to come here because it was closer than AAMC. While we were seen quickly (only people in the waiting area), the nurse and doctor almost seemed clueless as to handling this situation. My daughter had huge blisters covering most of her palm and fingers. We were sent home with antibiotic ointment on the blisters and some bandage- instructed to follow up with her Pediatrician, change the wrap once a day, and that her hand would heal on its own and the blisters would pop on their own. After seeing her pediatrician Wednesday, she immediately reached out to John’s Hopkins Burn Center and they insisted she come ASAP. They mentioned quite a few times that the previous ER should have sent us there right away for debridement of the burn blisters so she wouldn’t have had to be in pain all week. Will definitely make the extra 10 minute drive next time and wish I would have read the reviews first.

I went to the ER in Grasonville at around 6:45 p.m. Thursday because of breathing difficulties resulting from asthma. I was taken in the back within 8-10 minutes. I appreciated that the triage nurse really listened to me, was thorough but quick in her assessment of my situation. Did my temp, blood pressure, etc. She did everything necessary and nothing unnecessary, like an IV, that hurts me like the dickens and wasn't necessary from my complaints. But I've been to hospitals forthe same thing and they will just stick one in your arm even though they know your complaint has nothing in it that justifies an IV. They do it to pad the bill. This ER gave me exactly what I needed, a double breathing treatment, a double dose of Prednisone and antibiotics for the infection they saw from the chest x-ray no they did. I was out of there with prescriptions called into my pharmacy by 8:50 p.m. I want to give a shot or to all the staff who attended me, especially Doctor. Great job😊😊💯
