I’ve taken a while to gain the courage to post this review, but I don’t want any other female to be traumatized the way I was. I scheduled an IUD removal and reinsertion with the OBGYN at this location. This was my second IUD. The first time around, at a different practice, they made sure to give me any necessary medication to ease the pain (without me even asking). Fast forward to my consultation, I asked a nurse if there was any medication for me to take in preparation to which I was met with a condescending tone and laugh asking what kind of medication I could possibly be asking about. The day of my removal and reinsertion came and I was taken into the back where I was met with the most unsettling lack of empathy. 2 nurses came in, and 1 student/intern. I’ve never experienced a pain such as this. The doctor stopped mid procedure to laugh and say, “Girl why didn’t you ask for some lidocaine??” In between tears and screams I stated that I had asked the OTHER nurse in there the week before if there was any pain relief and I was told no. The only person in that room that showed any kind of compassion was the med student. She could tell I was in an extreme amount of distress. Once finished, the two nurses didn’t say a word to me. Only the student, who had stayed behind after the fact, told me that I made her want to cry and to take it easy for the rest of the day. As the other nurses left, I heard a third voice outside my door say, “Oh I heard that one!” No one came back to check in on me. I sat there. Traumatized. In extreme pain. With no sign of care anywhere. It took me months to be able to speak about this. I truly felt violated and discarded. I will never be coming back to this location or practice and I would hope other women with IUDs heed my warning.

Although Gwendolyn Lee was a little overwhelming when I met with her, I love the rest of staff ! The front desk is always helpful and informative. Also, MyChart is always updated when needed. I would recommend this team to others.

I made an appointment with Gwendolyn Lee on February 14th. She referred me for a blood test (performed in the practice that same day) and a sonogram (performed at the radiology center in the same building the following day). It has been three weeks, and Ms. Lee has not contacted me about my results or returned my calls asking for them. She told me at our appointment to see a gynecologist (she's a nurse midwife) but has not referred me to a gynecologist . . . if I were able to find a gynecologist who was accepting new patients, I would have gone to them instead of to her in the first place. I finally contacted the radiology center directly and asked them to forward my results to my PCP. They did, and also asked Ms. Lee to contact me. My PCP got back to me within two days. Ms. Lee still has not contacted me three weeks later. Do not go here. Ever.
