The nurses are horrible!! They don’t answer to patients when they ring for them , they will let you sit in your own urine/ Feces, really bad attitudes. Never would that be a option again for any of my loved ones

I don’t know what happened to my original review but…… my mother spent 48hrs in the Emergency Room. Nurses are not using their knowledge to escalate and advocate for their patients so families you BETTER STEP IN AND DO IT!!! I watched them make my mother WAIT to even use the bathroom in her very sick condition to the point she had an accident on herself then not allow ME to get the supplies myself I needed to clean her up!!! She also told me when I left her nurse JANAE left her sitting in feces until the night shift came can. She just flat out put it off until someone else came PERIOD! She was in and out the room checking vitals and giving meds but would clean up or allow her to do so on her own!!! As a healthcare professional I HAVE AMD WOULD NEVER!!!! This hospital’s culture has NOT CHANGED! New building but still the same rude and careless staff! UM needs to implement an ethics module for the employees and make sure they adhere to it.

The process is cumbersome and ridiculous. I came in with cardiac concerns (at the request of my Dr) and yet I had a 5 hr ER visit! I went back and forth 5 times and then waited 30 minutes to be discharged and never once saw a Dr. The triage nurse said it was best to come to the ER b/c of my referred jaw pain and that the ER would do a full cardiac work-up yet they only did what they could have done at Urgent Care. If I was referred to the ER for cardiac issues why would I be told to wait a total of 5 hours and go back and forth?? At discharge the room was full of people who had been there HOURS and they were given shots and had IVs removed right there with NO privacy. I found the staff overall to be nice but the constant back and forth was unnecessary and ridiculous. Do better!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The location and facility is decent but the staff is horrible, every single person I encountered was unprofessional. Everyone there yelled across the room at each other and spoke to one another casually as if they did not have patients present and waiting in the emergency room. This was my first time coming to this emergency room and it was the most horrible experience I have ever had in an emergency room in my life. Upon arriving in the lobby there was no clear indication as to where to go or who was available to assist. When the officer asked if I was visiting someone or checking in, he advised me to check in with the receptionist. I stood there for a couple of minutes before the receptionist finally looked up and asked if I’m “waiting for something,” confused I replied yes I am waiting to check in. She then referred me to the woman behind the glass and when I sat there this woman (after finishing her conversation with her coworker) asked if I had already been checked in. She checked me in with the wrong insurance card, I noticed I had given her my daughter’s insurance card instead of my own and she didn’t even bother to look twice. I then got called back to do labs and the woman looked at my arm and decided to use my hand (I am not sure why, but she said it would be best for her) I was shocked but against my better judgement agreed, she went in and out of my hand twice before taking the needle out (without collecting any blood) and stating that she would have to stick me again. I refused and she asked someone else to do it. I ended up refusing to get my blood drawn when the second woman looked at both arms for a couple minutes and said she would try my left arm. I told her that I am too scared/anxious to “try” anything else. I went back to the waiting room and then got called back for x-rays. I just had surgery two weeks prior which I let the second receptionist know when checking in. Despite this they didn’t know that information when I went back for my x-rays and I had to reiterate that when asked to lift and position myself in ways that are against post op instructions. I ended up leaving without even being seen about two hours after arrival. I will NEVER EVER go back to this hospital, my hand is still swollen and bruised from this experience.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst ER I have ever been to. I got ZERO information, a doctor never talked to me for more than 30 seconds. No one explained anything, no one even updated my medications! I also have never been to an ER with paid parking as the only option. This was the biggest waste of way too much money. Symptoms improved with an IV, so I was sent home only for the symptoms to start back up as soon as I got in my car. WORST HOSPITAL, do NOT go here
