  My experience following my initial visit with **Dr. Edidiong Akpan** has been extremely frustrating due to a persistent failure in communication and necessary follow-up. After my first visit, I had testing done. I received the results directly from the testing site, and they called me to schedule an additional appointment, clearly indicating the need for the physician's immediate professional review. I have been unable to receive this crucial guidance. My attempts to contact the office include: * **September 26, 2025:** Sent a message to Dr. Akpan via the patient portal regarding the test results and recommended next steps. I have received **no response** to this message.* **September 29, 2025:** Called the office and was told a staff member would return my call, which did not happen. * **September 30, 2025:** Called the office again and was unable to reach anyone. Being left without a necessary diagnosis or treatment plan for time-sensitive test results for over a week is unacceptable and demonstrates a critical failure in patient care. I do not recommend this office nor this Doctor.

  I just became a patient here just to address some small issues and make sure I’m physically good. Today i had a follow up apt with Dr. Edidiong Akpan who seemed kind of judgement during my initial visit . Today i was refused to be seen because i am in an important work meeting . I work remotely and i have the ability to still get things done while i am listening to meetings. My time is crucial and my health so i decided to still come and be seen despite my meeting. Welp she refused to see me as if im literally on the phone talking . I will be looking for another Dr who can accommodate me more.

  I have been a patient here for many years, but I have finally decided to change doctors. I always have to wait 20/30/40 minutes to be seen after my appointment time. Most recently, I went in for a preoperative visit, and while I was there, I asked about support with weight management since I was going to be recovering from back surgery. I was told the purpose of my appointment was preoperative work, and in order to get support with weight management, I would need to make another appointment and come back in at a later date. I had to have an EKG, and they told me that at 45, I had an irregular heartbeat and required I go to a heart specialist. I took my results and went to a heart specialist and was told my results were not abnormal and was then cleared for surgery. I had to pay a copay for my preoperative, a copay for the heart Dr, and additional fees for the 2nd unnecessary EKG. Over the years, the level of service, professionalism, and quality of care has definitely declined with the practice.

  From checking in, to getting vitals taken and meeting with the doctor, I am always leaving with my mind at ease! Amazing doctors. Anywhere from referring me to the proper Surgeons or making sure my medication is covered or refilled. I cannot thank both Dr.McCoy & Dr.Jaffa and their staff enough!
