Starting with the great: - equipment selection - 24 hours - staff (that care for, clean, and use the gym) - there are a lot of lifelong and dedicated members here - surprisingly clean bathrooms - People are friendly and the atmosphere is fine. - ~ 10 squat racks - bless (you’ll likely always have a squat rack available) Now, the bad (general member lack of care): - dumbbells / plates are scattered everywhere (where’s waldo but for the other 35lb dumbbell) - there are signs to re-rack your weights and there are members that don’t read the signs. They probably can and do, they just choose to ignore. - very nice Eleiko calibrated plates and some very nice barbells with good knurling. This equipment is, unfortunately, misused. - smells like swamp cheeks in the dumbbell area under the upstairs section - machines are broken often (normally for a couple days) The gyms I’ve gone to that don’t have these problems care immensely about their community and would actually cancel your membership if you mistreat the facility/equipment. If you join the gym - please re-rack your weights and care about the facility you pay to workout at. “There’s Community in Strength and Strength in Community.”
- JJJDec 14, 20252.0This place is a rip off ; there’s always an odor in the gym and now my teenager couldn’t come as a guest on my gold membership pass but they told me I can sign him up for a membership for $20 a month makes no sense. My son and I can go to planet fitness for less and planet fitness offer free teen accounts in the summer. Golds Gym count you days definitely time for me to find another gym.
