Received poor treatment. After complaining that I couldn't breathe they kept taking my vitals stating I was fine. I had to give urine and after I tried to stand up I couldn't use my legs and fell to the floor. I did regain use of my legs. They have no clue what happened. They wanted to keep me over night. I didn't feel safe and didn't sleep. I kept my eyes closed trying to. However they played with me like a game testing if I was asleep or not by poking me and pouring water on me. I filed a complaint and was dismissed. When I originally looked this place up with reviews they had a 1.0 rating. Just go to Christiana.

I must say the night of August 6. 2025, Chester River Hospital Center gave excellent, supportive, kind, courteous, warm, friendly, hospitable care. I must give huge kudos to Dr on call, Nurses: Tracy, Shelby, Taylor, Stephanie, Lori, Rob, Hailey, & Linda (Pharamist).
Even when the E/R rooms were switched from Room 7 to Room 2 was such a smooth transition. If I forgot anyone, please accept my apologies. I would rate this staff with 10 stars. Excellent care at this Hospital was outstanding and everyone went beyond the call of duty, to make sure proper care was given. Chester River Hospital gave outstanding and wonderful performance. Can't thank the staff enough for taking care of medical emergency quickly.

This is the worst 😫 hospital I ever when to it should be closed. They don't want to help. This place suck I had to walk out they check you in and they put you in a room then for getting you. They should close this place down. Worthless people I,am glad it was not a emergency they would just let me die
Where is the gratitude my fellow patients???
Clearly no one ever takes time to post positive reviews. The only time people want to take time to post reviews is when they want to complain. I see this rating very low and it's sickening. 12 reviews total of people complaining... It's really a shame the other thousands of people you see every year didn't take a moment to give you some actual positive feed back. So Here I go.
I have had to go here quite a few times in the last 10 years. Probably 8 times for myself alone.. I have to say the most time I waited in the waiting room was about 5-8 mins.
In contrast I went to Easton once for a seizure and it was literally a 1 hour 15 min wait sitting in my own urine soaked pants in the lobby. Extremely humiliating and degrading. If you think you can get better care at Easton or Elkton, you've probably been watching too much House on TV... I've been to both and they were not nearly as attentive, fast, or personable.
The staff @Chestertown always treated me very well, they were accommodating, kind, friendly, and didn't make me feel anything but gratitude for the care they give. The Techs, Nurses, Doctors were always supportive, and never judgemental for my situation. I brought a non English speaking friend in for a bee sting near his eye that swollen the size of a baseball. They were very friendly to care of him quickly and just as well as they would anyone else. He didn't speak English or have any ID / paperwork and they did not act or treat him any different.
Overall 9.4/10! Chestertown might be a smaller hospital but it does many things better then the other locations. It is a shame they are basically de-funding this hospital almost to the point of closure. The only thing that I'm taking points off for is the fact the facility does not have some of the equipment / services the other more well funded hospitals have IE: Sleep study. And these are literally things that come with funding. I would give a 10, however I do believe there is always room for improvement. That being said...
If I had to give any advice for making it better, give patients two blankets and a pillow when they come in (which honestly they generally offer both). It would also be nice if you have a couple of sandwiches / snacks on hand for patients. Sometimes if you get in late you can't get food all night and it can be a long night while you are hungry and can't sleep. Some of those meds make fiendishly hungry! ^_^
Also, Sorry for all the rude, angry, and ungrateful patients that you have to deal with from time to time. As someone with medical workers in the family, I know it is a very real thing to have nasty patients. It is truly despicable and I wish you didn't have to deal with that, but thank you for doing it so graciously.
@Everyone at C-Town hospital!
From security and sanitation to the clerks and cooks who are (the unsung heroes) to the medical staff of the hospital. All of the people are under paid and over worked (12hr shifts)... I am posting this to let you know there are people who are grateful and don't take you or your work for granted. A lot of these negative reviews seem to be people who don't know how good we have it here in the US of A. God Bless All!
This place is a joke. Worst hospital experience. Sat in er room for 2 hours with no contact from anyone working.
