Yes, I've seen my fair share, and a couple of yours, too. Back to the point: Very professional, yet with grace, humor, and humanity. The attitudes across the board are positive and helpful. I ramble, and the practitioner was able to calm and focus my responses. I call that above and beyond, and great people skills.

On a Monday, 3 Nov, when my husband was at work 50 miles away, my dog charged another dog while I was walking her. My wrist was tangled in the leash and I was thrown into the road. My husband returned home and we went to the UofM Urgent Care. I cannot say enough about Courtney the Nurse Practitioner. Jen the Radiology Technician, and Janel the Medical Assistant. I am older and I was scared not knowing anyone on the island. They treated me with great care and knew exactly what they were doing. Although I ended up having a break on both sides of my wrist, Courtney kept it very upbeat with me and it helped me so much with my anxiety. She provided me with a referal to an orthopaedic doctor in case I wanted to go into Annapolis. I opted to go to my orthopaedic in Bethesda, MD and was told I would have to have surgery that week and needed a physical within 3 days. I went to my old PCP from where I moved and their computers were down on the day of my appointment and they couldn't perform physical. My husband and I rushed back to the Urgent Care on Kent Island. They did the physical immediately. I told the Nurse Practitioner that my cardiologist would not give approval for surgery until he saw my EKG. The Nurse Practitioner (Courtney) told me she would be working the next morning and would make sure my electronic EKG got to my cardiologist within the short window I had before the scheduled Friday surgery. She did exactly as she had promised. I had a successful surgery that Friday. In addition, the facility was spotless. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care I received.

Sue Steele, Pa-c listened and prescribed me exactly what I needed to fight the symptoms I was feeling. Highly recommend this location for all your urgent care needs
