On September 1, 2025 my visit to the emergency room Cambridge Maryland was excellent. I arrived with a severe reaction with welts from head to toe. Was taken back immediately.
Dr Hines was my doctor and he went above and beyond to take care of me. He figured out what I was allergic to quickly and administered the medication needed for the severe hives I had especially the ones on my face. I was very scared.
I did follow up with my primary Dr the next day and was told I was going into anaphylactic shock. He’s an excellent doctor and an asset to the emergency room. Besides his quick action to help me his compassion was over the top. It’s rare to find that in an emergency room.
He gets a 10 star review from me and I personally thank him. My allergic reaction was to an antibiotic given after just having a total hip replacement.

Currently waiting 6+ hours for my daughter to get roughly 4 stitches on her chin really ridiculous apparently only one doctor and no registered nurses at all on night shift. We arrive to the ER at 7 PM and we’re seen by a doctor around 10:30pm. My daughter was administered lidocaine for her chin around 10:30pm 30 p.m. and it is now 12:33 am and she has yet to be seen or stitched up. So if you have any emergency, do not come to this emergency room between the hours of 7 and 10 PM because you will not be seen by a doctor

Stung by a bee, have had sone bad reactions in my past, drove 85 mph to wait in a lobby for 35 minutes breathing heavy and in pain. They need a triage person at all times in that lobby to comfort people and evaluate before people walk out. No one but a Registration lady there who never looked at me once. Not her job. Just saying. Finally I saw the door open and Bill Shirtenlieb came threw the doors. I knew I was going to be OK. I calmed right down. He's got to be the greatest asset at the Cambridge Hospital. He's been with them forever and is professional, caring, attentive and very smart. Easy on the eyes and listens to the patient. He checked on me many times and provided excellent care. He should be teaching patient care and manners. I've had some bad experiences there before but not today. The doctor was polite and so was the discharge nurse. People feed to rally to get them more staff and equipment that is gravely needed. Governor Moore needs to do something to help this struggling Hospital. I think there were only 3 staff on the ER floor today. Thank God I got their best today!
