I have came to this obgyn twice and both times they didn’t check me in right. They tell me to be there 15 mins early and I’m still waiting to be seen an hour later. The 1st time it took them an hr and a half to see me. This place is ridiculous. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for an obgyn.

I would have given ZERO ⭐️! I would NOT pick this place as your GYN doctor. They give you the run around! When call I to schedule, the receptionists’ tone tends to be short and rude, if you can even get them on the phone.
I had to do their job and make sure I have all the paperwork when THEY refer me to their own breast center. Apparently they only gave me half of the paperwork I need to get the breast exam done. When I scheduled the breast exam the receptionist said I needed another order to get the exam and did the doctor sent it? Like how would I know? I had to speak the office manager then because of how rude that receptionist was. Both the GYN and the breast center are all under UMC, don’t the departments talk to each other?!
I had to call over 15 times today at GYN office just to get someone to answer the phone. The receptionist got an attitude when I gave her the same tone she gave me, it’s like she can have a rude tone but when you give it back it’s a problem?! When I spoke with the office manager Erica today, she stated that it’s because they are short staff to the reason of all the confusion …as a manager myself, that’s not excuse for your team providing crappy customer service. I’m working on finding a new GYN after they check out the IUD that THEY may have been inserted wrong 😳….
It’s rare I have a good experience at UMC. Where are the patient surveys? And is upper management even reading them to improve your customer service?!
I guess NOT since they have a 2.7 star rating on google and everyone can see that customer service is bad at UMC

I am extremely disappointed by the decline of professionalism and service at Upper Chesapeake Women's Care today. I have known them for almost 9 years and have received excellent service from Dr. Shari Sopher. Even this morning as I sat with my 3 children at an 8am appointment, I excitedly pointed at her picture telling them "that's the Doctor that took you from my tummy!" Unfortunately, after we arrived early, there was still a 20min wait only to be told that "my children are not the office's responsibility to watch during my exam and I have to reschedule". This is the SAME office that told me just weeks ago that because my children were so well-behaved, I should not go through the trouble of finding a morning Babysitter but instead, I could just bring them. When I informed the staff member of this, all she said coldly was "I don't know who you spoke with but that was wrong information. Your kids are not our responsibility." After an entire week of preparing for a Speaking engagement and making a "subplan" for today to wake my children earlier, pack a breakfast for their car ride, arrive early and bring quiet toys to occupy them (like my prior appontment), I am utterly shocked that there was no communication to me prior to this morning regarding this policy. I certainly considered it and discussed it way before today. The on-site phlebotomist had observed how well-bahaved my children were during our wait time that she even offered to watch them for me during my exam. At that point, I was grateful, but had already made the decision that lack of communication, cold-heartedness and an inconsiderate attitude is now the character of this office. For this reason, I won't be returning.
