Terrible staff neglecting my elderly mum. Gave her way too much pain medicine. Her last few days she didnt know where she was, talking gibberish. Never could see a Dr. And Nurses were terribly mean. Only the nursing assistants were able to tell me she was overmedicated.

I have a friend that’s 85 years old FluA , pneumonia and COPD! I have never seen a Doctor come in ! Not even his primary! The staff are overrated, I truly believe we have members working that aren’t certified! We the people demand a meeting with the Board Members! I want to understand whyb Aberdeen hospital was built, flu season hits and patients are being taken to York !!!!!???? Not one staff member has a clue about what the medical field means , especially for the elderly! 14 days without a bath and his teeth were never cleaned! Everyone pretends they are busy !!! Doing what ???? Why is there a young lady coming in asking how you feel that’s her job ! A outside contract that walks around and pretends this is a true job ! Wake up Hartford county and demand a meeting with the board members asap! This is a fraudulent institution that needs to be investigated! I want transparency and everyone that has experienced this care should be screaming at the top of their lungs !We demand accountability!

I didn’t leave a review when it happened but this hospital needs to face repercussions for all the neglect and inhumane treatment of patients. A few years ago I went to this “hospital if you can even call it that. I was in severe abdominal pain, vomiting, couldn’t pass urine, etc. I was very scared and in a lot of pain, I was sat in that ER waiting room for 8 hours, while I vomited, passed out and urinated on myself uncontrollably (as embarrassing as that is to type online) they kept accusing me of drug seeking and not one nurse or head nurse checked in on me despite my mother telling them something is very wrong. Eventually i threatened to call 911 because I thought I was going to die considering I had no idea what was wrong with me and the pain was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. Finally after about 8 hours and threatening to call 911 I was seen, turns out I had a kidney stone and my kidneys were backed up because of where the stone was sitting. They let me sit there in excruciating pain for 8 hours because they thought I was drug seeking. I have never done a drug a day in my life and thank god it was only a kidney stone and not my appendix rupturing. Upper Chesapeake is a chop shop at best, wouldn’t even take a hamster to this place.

This hospital has sadly gone down. Took 5 people to get an IV in. I do have thin veins, but get real. Another horror story.... I was to have a CAT scan with contrast. Tech broke a small plastic piece in my arm!!! Bled, then swelled the size of a baseball or bigger. They told the dye came out into my arm. And was clinging to my muscles. A nurse ran to get her phone. Said I'm going document this! Spent the night calling up front. The girl was no help whatsoever. Needed pain meds for a migraine. Took 3 1/2 hours to get some. Needed to go to the bathroom....had to hold it 11 hours, seriously. Whole experience has been a nightmare.! ,Ahh the icing on the cake, I asked for a pillow, her reply "we don't have any pillows" & I said "You have got to be kidding." Still at the hospital. Hope I make it home alive. Have serious pneumonia and ,influenza A and my copd acting up. Next time, I think I'll go to a different hospital.

If I could give this hospital zero stars, I would. The way my daughter was treated this past weekend has me sick to my stomach. I’ve never felt so hopeless dealing with a hospital facility. My daughter was admitted for a week due to seizures. At the time, we went to the doctor because she had a cold, was feeling sick, and dizzy. I asked them to test her for COVID and the flu. The first day, the tests came back negative, so they treated her for seizures. We were discharged Saturday night. Sunday morning but had to return because she had three more seizures. Once at the hospital, I had them do another test for COVID and the flu, which showed my daughter actually had the flu. On Monday, we were transported to the Bel Aire location, where she was treated even more poorly. We couldn’t get anyone to assist with showers or bathroom needs despite asking multiple times. She went down for testing again at 10am, and although the results were back, they weren’t read to us until—or I had to cause a scene to get her results read about 5or6 pm and to get a nurse to help us remove her IV tape and put her patches back on to attach her heart monitor. Given how often my daughter has seizures, you’d think that every time she hit her call bell, someone would come to help. But no help at all the only reason they get one star is because they paid for our lyft home as they should after they wasted our time
