These stars are purely for the nurse who taught me how to give myself injections and the people who did my bloodwork because they were lovely.
As a trans person, however, the care realy felt sub-par. My first ever interaction with this office 2 years ago, the office person told me my insurance (BCBS) wasn't accepted after I mentioned wanting to transition as the reason for the appointment (another desk person later confirmed w some confusion that insurance is definitely accepted). Beyond that, over the course of two years and a handful of providers, I continuously felt like they were confused about me or trying to deal with me as little as possible. Then, after a break in treatment, I was pretty much ghosted by anyone I tried to contact with a simple question about bloodwork and getting my prescription renewed.
If you are thinking about this provider for HRT, save yourself the dysphoria and go somewhere else.

If patients have Blue Cross/ care First insurance, they ate responsible for the facility fee of $222.40 for routine visits. Neither the office nor the insurer explained that with a new fiscal year, the patients would be liable for the fee. According to Blue Cross, the Midtown Diabetes Center could use a different code for routine office visits, but the office chose not to change their coding.
Second issue was getting in touch with the office. I was automatically put in hold & the call disconnected over 2 days, 15 calls. The call center couldn't get the call to work either. I had to go through patient advocacy to talk to a person at the office.
The staff and care I received there was ok, but I cant afford the facility fee for routine visits & I dont like that I couldn't reach the office by phone.

I am completely out of insulin. I never can get through to anyone when I call about anything- long hold times. When you leave them a voice mail- no one bothers to call you back.
Insulin glargine is on currently on back order. I asked them to call into their pharmacy a different brand of insulin, instead of my normal pharmacy. They took all day and did exactly what I told them not to do, they called in a prescription for Insulin Glargine to my normal pharmacy instead of calling a different brand of insulin to their pharmacy as they were instructed to do.
I will wake up with very high blood sugar and will be forced to go to the ER if they dont get this.
If you are diabetic- stay away from the business. They are disorganized, understaffed, and incompetent. I am in the process of switching Endochrinology offices due to years of issues I have endured here.

I have been a patient here for almost ten years. The doctors are good, however the office staff is understaffed and a huge mess. I was promised things would get better when they hired a new office manager. They did not.
Whenever you need to call in to create an appointment, get a prescription or have a serious issues, you are put on hold for a very long time. They give you an option to leave a voice mail and someone is suppose to call you back within 24 hours. That's never happened. They don't call you back. I called on Tuesday, was on hold for ten minutes, so I left a voicemail urging them to call me. Of course, they didn't bother...
