I am writing to formally express significant concerns regarding the neuropsychological evaluation conducted for my son on November 26th. My son, who initially displayed a degree of apprehension, underwent a lengthy assessment. It has come to my attention that during this extended process, he was not afforded sufficient breaks or opportunities for mental disengagement, which I believe is crucial for maintaining focus and comfort during such evaluations. My son reported experiencing considerable distress, frustration, and sadness following the session, indicating that the evaluator exhibited impatience with him during various tasks. Most alarmingly, he informed me that the evaluator appeared to be engaged with her mobile phone for extended periods throughout the evaluation. The session was abruptly concluded as the evaluator cited an urgent virtual meeting scheduled for 1 PM. When I attempted to inquire about the premature ending and the overall conduct, I was directly ignored, with the apology being directed solely to my son, rather than addressing my concerns as the accompanying parent. This lack of professional communication was deeply unsettling. Furthermore, I have yet to receive any communication regarding the timeline for reviewing the evaluation's findings or the subsequent steps in my son's care plan. Given the aforementioned observations regarding the evaluator's conduct and the potential impact on the integrity and validity of the assessment, I respectfully request that my son be scheduled for a new, comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation with a different specialist within your practice. I believe a professionally conducted assessment, free from such distractions and demonstrating appropriate patient interaction, is imperative for his well-being and accurate diagnosis.

My sweet daughter was at Mt. Washington for about 2.5 months, we had a really positive experience throughout it all, despite it being a challenging time. We were welcomed very warmly and Dr. Akintade was so funny, knowledgeable, and kept us in the loop about our daughter's care every step of the way. Kimberly the case manager was also amazing in helping to coordinate all of my daughter's appointments and moving things around, even when there were delays or unexpected encounters. The dietitian, PT/OT, SLP were all very professional and personable in helping my daughter meet her goals. All the nurses were very kind and I felt like they attended to my daughter's needs in a timely manner most of the time. Sometimes it is challenging to have three or four babies in a room and the space can be quite cramped, at times it could take a while for a nurse to come attend to my baby due to the patient load. Having child life services was one of the best things as my baby was in the NICU/hospital settings since birth and it helped normalize her experience and allowed her to have fun! The therapy dogs are awesome too :) They also helped facilitate when my older daughter came to visit which was so sweet. I loved the friendly security staff too who provided such a welcoming hello as we drove in each day and greeted us at the desk. Overall, the discharge process was pretty seamless and I felt like we got good instructions on how to use my daughter's G-tube and other things to look out for. On another note, we were surprised the food in the cafeteria was so good, with reasonable prices too. I just wish there were longer hours as it is very limiting to be closed for the afternoon/evenings. I would recommend Mt. Washington as a great hospital/place for outpatient visits. Thanks for all you do!!

My experience with Mount Washington was amazing. They checked on me and my son periodically. They have Child life which allows the children to have fun without them feeling like they are in a hospital. My son thought he was at a sleepover. This helped him with his social skills because he was allowed to interact with the other children that were admitted. I did not have one bad experience while I was there. I definitely recommend the Rehabilitation Clinic. The PT and OT team there were also amazing. He goes there for outpatient services so I knew I would have a positive experience. Christina Parr has been working my son since he was about 4. She is so amazing! Not only does she provide great services, she also tells me what I should do at home with him. I love this place!
